Bubbleponic ppm levels

I'm following GH re circulating chart and keeping my ppm slightly higher than 1000 ppm or 2.0 E.C. and my plant is showing nitrogen toxicity, what does everyone else keep their EC levels at for Grow, Micro & Bloom series?

Hi , I wouldn't go by any charts, can you tell if ppms are going up or down .

If they're going up then you have to strong a mix dilute I've grown some fairly big plants in rdwc and they hardly ever go above 850 ppms on a 0.7 scale which works out at less than half what ionic charts say although it's usually sat dom plants.
I use a blue lab guardian which is probably one of the best investments I've made in hydro ,just stick your head in the door and see the measurements in a glance.

I reduced ppm to 850, now let's wait and see in my DWC and 450 in my Coco coir.

Less is better with hydro ,just watch the plants you'll know when they're happy.

Especially if indoors in summer and high temps the plants need less cause they're Metabolism is in overdrive .

There is a thread in Opengrow by Eskobar a long thread about growin in Mapito ,some seriously good knowledge there .

The lower the EC in your nutes the less problems with build ups of salinity.
Only thing I can advise is get a continuous tri meter for the res and a large reservoir ,makes ph probs a lot easier.

I never went above EC of 1,2 mS and am right in the sweet spot where plants drink same amounts of water and nutes. I don't see a reason for going any higher.

Yea, my first hydro grow, still learning. I have some bc blueberry getting ready for next batch

I'm down to 650 ppm now, I have a tap water of 150 ppm. Does your 1.2 include your tap water of is it reverse osmosis?

Still reducing, you are probably right, I'm at 650 now. Would be 500 ppm if my tap water was 0.
