If they're going up then you have to strong a mix dilute I've grown some fairly big plants in rdwc and they hardly ever go above 850 ppms on a 0.7 scale which works out at less than half what ionic charts say although it's usually sat dom plants.
I use a blue lab guardian which is probably one of the best investments I've made in hydro ,just stick your head in the door and see the measurements in a glance.

Especially if indoors in summer and high temps the plants need less cause they're Metabolism is in overdrive .

There is a thread in Opengrow by Eskobar a long thread about growin in Mapito ,some seriously good knowledge there .

The lower the EC in your nutes the less problems with build ups of salinity.
Only thing I can advise is get a continuous tri meter for the res and a large reservoir ,makes ph probs a lot easier.
