Hey TEK.

My blue dream is 28 days into 12/12 today.

Pics below from Saturday.


I'm up at EC 1.4 around 1000ppm @.7 scale. 400w hps.


Coco perlite 80/20 feeding approx every 2 days.

Mainline trained for 4 heads and a heavy pruning during the first 14 days of 12/12. She stands around 2ft tall. Really squat plant compared to my cotton candy and caramelo that are in the room I've had to raise her up about 1ft to keep my canopy level.

Clones root in coco between 7-14 days for me.

I don't have a journal about this grow on here, I tend to post most updates in the 400w growers thread in grow room design forum.

awesome man! good job! i have lowered my ec to 1.2 (840ppm 0.7scale) an i am feeding twice a day until i get runoff. The ppms of the runoff have been climbing and now they are at the same level i feeding the plants. Everything looks good though. Do you use a heating mat when u clone in coco? i have also had pretty low temps around 70F where i am cloning. do you think i should use a heating mat?

I don't use any heating mats.

It depends how many clones I am taking but usually I clone during veg while my plants are under my 400w. I sometimes use a propogator but most of the time (as my clone demand is low) I use a dessert pot from a supermarket that is clear with a lid that comes off.

4 holes in the bottom for drainage. 1.5" of coco in the bottom. Snip my clone. Plant it water the coco and leave it until I see roots. I open the lid every day or so to replenish air.

The coco usually needs re saturating once in the time it takes to root.


My temps in my room are no higher than 24c about 75F. Clones probably sit around 20C about 70F.

Just takes a little longer to root that's all.

I don't spray my clones with water. I spray the lid.
IMO if you mist them then they don't have to work as hard to get the moisture from the air.


Heating mats usually need a timer to control the temperature as some just keep getting warmer.

The only true way of knowing your cocos EC is the 1:1.5 extraction method.

BLUELAB have a good tutorial about it.

Canna for example recommend your coco EC should be around 1.3 but this must be tested using the extraction method above.

You make up with the extra plants tho you should pull a good amount ive run blue dream countless of times my fav strain of all time it does grow real quick 4 weeks will give you a nice yield but i did 12 dreams along with other strains under 2 600s 2 week veg and yielded about 22 oz off dream alone , big yields are super easy to hit check my outdoor link i vegged 3 weeks n got avg 5 oz from 4 foot tied down plants

Hello. As promised here are the pics from the second tent. The strains are 3 sour blueberry, 1 blue dream (in the back right) and one original amnesia out (in the back left) . The blue dream has been flowering for 23 days and the rest have been flowering for about 14-15 days. When I was still in veg i killed one sour blue blueberry thinking it was this Auto. Looking pretty alright to me for sure.....pic one and two one of the plants on the left looking like its got a bit o heat stress with the leaves coupling up or humidity issue? The blue dream was not to bad when I grew her out myself, massive yielder by far..

sorry to shoot this in two responses, but I also wanted to throw a small bit of advice. When taking leaves off the plant like you did early in veg, its best to wait until there larger and older to begin taking them off, one reason being that they can actually remove nutes they need from those leaves, the leaves are helping the plant to grow at the moment, and the plant is so small removing some leaves could stunt it. Typically ( and I may be a tad off on percentage) you only want to remove 10% of the leaves and growth max at one time, and even better if done slowly throughout. Lollipopping and removing leaves has its place, but not typically beneficial if done to early. I myself dont remove anything unless the plant itself is about a foot from the soil base..another reason I dont remove them until that height is because of the amount of light lost after you go above a foot, if your plants arent that tall though, that 1000 watter can kick through those leaves without damaging yield or quality much at all on the lower sites..just my small opinion tho take it or leave it:)

I will try to get some pics with the hps off.. my phone cam has no flash so i will have to find another way to light up the photos.. maybe with some cfls.. i agree.. the hps lights do the plants no justice when it come to photos.

Hello. I just checked the clones. I gently pulled on some of the stems and 11 or so seem to have started rooting (I noted some slight resistance while gently pulling on the stems so I am assuming roots have formed). The clones that have started rooting also seem really healthy and may have grown a little bit. What should I do next. Should I feed them with a very mild nutrient solution or should I let the roots get a better foothold in the medium first. Suggestions are greatly appreciated as this is my first time ever cloning. Thanks in advance!

Dont bother or tug on clones when forming roots you do alot of stress on em.by doing so clones take from my exp 7-21 days depending on strain . The roots will pop out on there own (just wait lol) n no just keep em humid till the develope roots, i personally let em absorb the nutes from soil 1-2 wks then hit them with nutes.
I wait till i have lots of roots comin out of the medium then i plant them

Hello. All of the clones,except one that died from stem rot, have now rooted. I am now faced with a problem. I have nowhere to veg these out. I want to use these to start another one when the flowering plants have finished which should be in about 40-45 days. How long will these clones stay alive for? I can buy some cfls for them tho but i don't want them to be long and spindly. Do you guys think 200 watts of cfl would be sufficient to veg these out for the next 40 days? I am only going to use 8 of them.

That's a difficult one to answer.

I've managed to grow 16x 8" clones under a 250w (actual watts) E40 style CFL for about 3-4 weeks by rotating etc.

It was a difficult task with the rotation and lighting vs nute strength but I managed it for a while.

I think its going to be a suck it and see kind of deal.

Why dont you put em under the fluorescents? 200 actual watts for 8 clones will do ok for about a mth in 1 gallon i did it with 12 plants ,topped 3x in that period to not let em get out control in the very lil space i had ,after that tho they get too big and start root bounding

Thanks for the advice guys. I will put them under fluoros until I harvest these ones. More pics to come tomorrow. They are growing everyday now.

Has anyone here smoke sour blueberry? If so could be provide some details about the quality of the smoke?
