Fox Farm Soil Question!!

I am using FFOF soil.. I have my seedlings in a small pot and I'm sure I will be transplanting them to a bigger pot right around the time I start to add nutes.
My question is FFOF soil already has enough nutes to get you through the first 3-4 weeks, so when I transplant them to a bigger pot with fresh soil, does that mean when I add nutes I will burn the plants due to over feeding?
Just wondering if you all have advice when transplanting to fresh soil and adding nutes.
Thanks

Hey dude i haven't used fox farm but it's all the same. Yes when you pot up there's more nutrients available to the plant so you don't have to feed them just water. Although a little seaweed tonic is always good for em.
I generally don't have to start feeding until three weeks into flower.

Anyone else have any advice pertaining specifically to the Fox Farm and your experience? Also I'll be using the Fox Farm Trio

I'm almost done with my 1st grow with FF nutes and soil. They seem to work well but the schedule seems a little hot, maybe 3/4 strength and still flush when they tell you even if the plant looks okay.
Also you would do well to mix in some crushed dolomite lime to the soil and maybe avoid some of the ph issues I've been fighting with. Also a good healthy bit of perlite mixed in helps too.

i use ffof..... i would tell you not to feed til theyre hungry.... transplant when theyre hungry in veg...... water more often w less
I see a lot of responses zeroed in on "when the plant is ready" as a new grower I don't understand what a plant will tell me, or if I will even know what it is trying to tell me..
What are signs you see that a plant is "telling" you it's hungry?

I wish there were pictures to show:
Picture A: a hungry plant
Picture B: a not hungry plant

Picture A: an over fed plant
Picture B: an underfed plant

I realize I will have to see these for myself in real time to get a full appreciation and knowledge of what's going on, but all I can get now is "the plant will tell you" lol.

Thank you for the responses tho!!

Thanks,
I keep seeing people saying to add in dolomite lime for pH balance.. What size pot are you using per plant? How much of the lime are you using per pot or in how much soil overall?

If the plants are older then a month then I feed FF liquid nuets a few days
after transplant to give the plants an extra boost. I feel the plants are established enough at this time to be able to handle the liquid nuets without causing any ill effects to the plants.

This works very well for me using FFOF and I've done this many times.
If the plants are under a month old then I wait 2 weeks before feeding with liquid neuts.

I also use seaweed/kelp liquid extract all the way through every grow during every feeding
I add pour a shot glass full in every gallon of water.
Great for growing a vigorous root system throughout an entire grow. Personally I've never used dolomite lime in
my FFOF soil grows and I never have issues with ph, lock out etc...and I've never tested ph of water either and my plants most always grow ultra healthy. When trying out a new strain to grow then less is more as they say mostly around here at RIU imo.

This was the reply I was looking for! Really appreciate it and will def look into the seaweed/kelp extract you mentioned. Thanks for the info!

I've read something about one gallon of soil per foot of height for the plant
But idk for sure as I've seen decent looking plants come out of small containers. Personally can't fit much bigger than 1.5 gal pot in my box so I'm stuck for now

I've been using the full FF line.. soil(OF) and nutes the main 3 and the others cha ching, microbrew, open sesame....I give her all she'll take from about 3-4 weeks on. I always add perlite.. But recently had add a little cal/mag 1/2 way through flowering. So this current grow I put a little bone meal, blood meal, worm castings, and some lime to the mix. Most everything I've grown hasn't had any problem taking the full dose recommended by FF. I have notice bigger yields with the cal/mag. And better growth using the whole line and not just the 3 main ones...

If your transplanting you will need nothing but water ... So depending on veg time you won't need anything until flower . I use a ocean forest , light warrior mix and transplant into 2.7 gallon pots to 5 gallon pots .
