Though I wonder if it's a good thing to blast a plant with tons of light first thing in the morning. Maybe it would be better to use some 730 initiators and start on minimum dimming and rapidly increase to max brightness. Since LED's don't have the start up time like HID or fluorescent lights do. Like waking up with the sun coming through a window with a cup of tea vs having your mother swing open the curtains at high noon while blasting an air horn....

I read about this too, and saw that plants go through a "mid day depression" where I believe the study found that it was believed to be caused by higher mid day irradiance as well as slightly higher UV levels during peak sun... I too have hundreds of pdf's and articles but If I can find it I will post the link to the study.

Another one I read was a study of photoplankton, that showed that plants also have a morning maximum as far as photosynthetic activity and the morning hours the plant is at its highest production. They were saying that the introduction of diurnal dimming caused the morning maximum to be greater, and the mid day depression was less pernounced. If I i can find the links I'll post them...
