by the way, civil rights does ensure that you can "engage in transactions on a consensual basis" "regardless of race". it was designed to do that specifically for the black people who were being denied and harmed by the practices of white racist public business owners.

those white racist public business owners are free to switch to the old, harmful, racist model, it just has to be a private club. so "regardless of race" those white racist business owners may still have "a right to control their own property" and those racist business owners may "engage in transactions on a consensual basis" by disallowing blacks. you and them still have that right.

you fail to understand the difference between a private club and a public business, which is a pretty easy thing t discern.

dumbass.

A public business? So the public owns the business now? How did that happen Mr. Prussian Schools taught me that War is Peace?

"the lack of corporal punishment has caused a deterioration of our society from the inside out"

statistics show that corporal punishment, applied to children, is the largest contributor to criminality. if you mean whipping an adult thief, instead of spending thousands of dollars to coerce him into a plae bargain.........yeah.....sure. just keep your hands offa children.......

I'm sure there are "some" instances where blacks were denied services.

However, I think denial of services aren't as wide spread as you let on.

consider the "sit in" at the local diner. Blacks weren't denied services there, they were denied internal seating.

They could, and did very often order their food from a window out back.

Equality, no, but you'd be hard pressed to find a diner anywhere in the south that didn't work that way.

Most towns even had blacks only diners that whites weren't allowed into- I don't see you crying about the harm from their denial of services.

There were public water fountains, one for whites, one for coloreds.

Please tell me a service that they were denied!

I can't think of any, they often had to accept substandard service, but rarely were they left with no options, if ever, to get a bite to eat if they had cash.

You're barking up the wrong tree. Some blacks were denied service, that is irrefutable.
Some white people did not want to associate with blacks, which is their right, whether I agree with their reasoning or not, they still have the right to self determination don't they?

I think everybody should be able to engage in consensual relationships, but nobody should be forced to engage in non consensual relationships. I am not trying to say that was a nice thing to do. I would not be okay associating with people that would do that.

However, I am not okay with people that think it is acceptable to USE FORCE to make people associate with others, which is what "civil rights laws" do. They take away the right of a property owner to use their own property in ways they prefer and replace it with a threat of force for not engaging with somebody they prefer not to. It is the same methodology as rapists employ, forced associations.

The distinction is that a person cannot make a person provide them a service against another persons will unless they believe like Uncle Buck and the rest of the prohibitionists that it is okay to deprive ANYBODY of their right to control their own property.

The contradiction is obvious to some, that if you have to MAKE people associate by forcing them to do something, the initial act of aggression comes not from the person seeking to disassociate, instead it comes from the person(s) forcing the association to take place.

i agree with you and robroy. no real harm caused. i assume you won't complain when "tea partiers" like yourself are treated the same way?
I drink tea sometimes at night when I have a cold. I would fight for your right to party, but I am not a tea partier Mr. Potty Pants.

If a person wants to deny service to a tea partier they should be able to. If they aren't able to, and somebody is making them associate with a tea partier against their wishes....the entity forcing the association is initiating aggression.......dumb ass.

Because he didn't think the USA should be initiating aggression all over the world and wanted to bring troops home?
His thinking encourages segregation. His opposition to the Civil Rights Act murdered Ron Paul's chance of anything on the national level.
I'm not going to even touch on his no-exceptions anti-abortion position, which means if a women got pregnant by a rapist she would be force to carry that rapist child.

Ron Paul had some good ideas, BUT his bad ideas RUINED any decent ideas the man was putting forth.so yeah fuck Ron Paul

If you want to fuck Ron Paul and he agrees to it, that would be okay with me. If he wants to be left alone, I hope you leave him alone rather than force an association on him that he'd prefer not to have.

Are you fucking serious. You seem to be very ill informed. Lets take the sit in at the lunch counter. This started on February 1, 1960, 4 student who were attended A and T college in Greensboro N.C. went into Woolworth, spent money buying shit in the store. They then sat down at the lunch counter to get something to eat. It was no back window, as you think to order ( and why the fuck should someone have to go to the back to eat anyway??). They were denied service at the lunch counter. Now they were able to spend money in the store, but they could not sit at the lunch counter to eat. WHY ?? That is denial of service. Hate.jpg greensboro-sit-in.jpg Greensboro-sit-ins2.jpg

I would also like you to link me to one of those so called establishment that served blacks only. I sure would like to learn more about this. This is new to me.

What I'm really trying to say is THAT'S BULLSHIT

We might have a welfare state, but at least we look after our own.

We also have free college education for everyone, free healthcare for everyone and we earn more per capita than the US does...

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, dont get moody and set fire to your house though.

Maybe I already earn about over 4 times the average wage due to our free education system?

I also know not to set my house on fire with my family asleep upstairs.

So win-win, the only thing that could make me win anymore would be calling you gay.

Take a guess why Ron Paul never made it.
Because of his looks and the power of the two party system. Didn't he actually win a few states but the electoral votes were rewarded to Romney by the electoral college reps? I don't remember exactly because it mattered so little to me. I just remember seeing polls being reported by the news and RP never being mentioned even when he placed high.
