All of those things listed in the key are still factors in mass killings. It may be a mentally unstable person who pulls the trigger, but there is still a trigger to pull. Stating that the guns have NOTHING to do with the killings is just as dishonest as completely blaming the killings on the gun.

People are ultimately responsible but guns easy facilitate. You can't overlook the ease at which guns allow for unstable people to kill, and call it a fair analysis.

I'm not blaming them. I'm saying the term 'legal owner' doesn't mean 'responsible owner'. To say that careless gun owners who have their firearms stolen aren't an variable in gun crime is dishonest. They're not the 'cause' but they are certainly not helping to mitigate the problem either.
