Though I'm just starting my side-by-side, check out my sig for a link to my comparison grow (totally unscientific, unsponsored, unbiased) between an XGS190 and an Apollo8, running two cuts from the same mother. That's exactly my point. I can show you grows with nearly every panel ever made. Comparison grows are where you tell the difference between panels abilities and the growers. You can Find Cidly Vs TopLED, Blackdog Vs Apollo, etc etc etc but never Area51 Vs anything. That's what needs to be proven.
Not too shabby for being almost halfway through flower, glad to see your lights are working.FYI 3 full days under the SPYDR 600
Pink/purple need not apply
well i feel dumAlso known as the gehl noah 8. You can get it for almost half the price going straight through gehl. minimum order 1...$488......http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Gehl-2014-hot-sale-Noah-Series_1864170264.html?s=p
I feel dum too...I bought two lights from gehl direct..had a few problems..then they offered no tech support/warrantywell i feel dum
but what do you think about the performance of the lights? mine has a screw rattling around inside it but it works so im at least running a cycle before i attempt to bitchI feel dum too...I bought two lights from gehl direct..had a few problems..then they offered no tech support/warranty
On the bright side. Buying it from a reseller they should back the warranty claims. So it's really not that bad a thing you didn't go direct.
Just be sure to hold them accountable for performance and support.
Thats not good, loose screws can cause a short circuit. I would get it out of there or get someone that knows how to, do it for you.but what do you think about the performance of the lights? mine has a screw rattling around inside it but it works so im at least running a cycle before i attempt to bitch
regarding gehl direct, i would feel like off the 2nds to the ppl looking to save a buck knowing they have no reproach when the lights break.

how do you figure. My $500 led will. Cover the same are as your cheap ass Chinese led at half the watts and double the par and higher cri. Your cheap Chinese led will fail in 6 months and mine will still be going strong in 5 years... Cree has plants in 12 countries. They are based in Santa Barbara California.
china copies. Japan on the other hand...... Sony is American made and been for the last few years. Sharp makes all Sony products. That's why they have gone down hill. Samsung is japanes and runs the electronic world. Cree (u.s.) Philips (u.s) and Sylvania (Germany) run the lighting world. Nothing innovative comes from china. Even their weapons came from the U.S. and Russia. Even the window washers in china don't use lifts. Just rope and a plank of wood. That's innovative alright lol. All the cars are from the 80's. Most of the country rides 1970's schwins (u.s.). Chinas biggest company is berrenger audio. The worst audio equipment there is. Even Korea has better everything than them. Hyundai, Daewoo, Kia and those suck.
I looked at the website, and yes your correct the wording has changed recently(?).......their is a good possibility that he is outsourcing the work now, NO mention of US "made" lights anywhere.......EH is more than welcome to prove me wrong. I found this on their FAQ section but doesnt say where they are assembledI looked at the website, and yes your correct the wording has changed recently(?).......their is a good possibility that he is outsourcing the work now, NO mention of US "made" lights anywhere.......
It's simply from personal experience. Legalese is a tricky language that can save you when the misrepresentation lawyers come knocking at the door. When you go looking for a producer for wares, some of them will actually tell you claims that you can make and wording that is borderline legal. For example, they used to all say Bridgelux and Cree diodes... because they were based on the diodes designed by them and the company making the diode had bought the rights to that design from those companies. That was one of the basis for Cree's lawsuit a few years ago. Same with AT's claim, developed FOR NASA... they submitted for a NASA study... Therefore it was developed for the purpose of NASA. Never selected, tested or used, just designed for.I looked at the website, and yes your correct the wording has changed recently(?).......their is a good possibility that he is outsourcing the work now, NO mention of US "made" lights anywhere.......
There are videos out of AT lights being tested in a NASA research facility. I found a presentation online put together by a NASA employee which made reference to tests done with Apache lights. I'm pretty sure they were not only designed for but in cooperation with NASA.Same with AT's claim, developed FOR NASA... they submitted for a NASA study... Therefore it was developed for the purpose of NASA. Never selected, tested or used, just designed for.
mines in a 10x10 basement and it runs warm but not crazy hott. Cooler than a 1k hps.. It's got 6 fans that blow air direct onto the heat sink and that air is exhausted out the sides. which comes out probably 90-100FThe noah 4 took my 3 x 2 tent to 98*f +....unusable for me. Actually first time I experienced such a hot running light. I still have it..may refit it one day since it does have a nice case with lots of room.
I have heard once someone running it in a larger area and not having heat problems. He wasn't that happy with it either last I recall.
Just being honest bro...
Take a feel right above the multichip..mine got scorching right above. Maybe they upgraded it since..
