At the start of this school year, my 7 year old was told that that was not tolerated. When he told me this, I told him that as long as he wasn't being destructive or touching other kids, he could point his fingers at recess as much as he liked to.

Kids playing "cops and robbers" would probably be considered criminals, but kids playing "Cowboys and Indians" would be considered either domestic terrorists, or republicans, I'm not sure.

All toy guns in the US legally HAVE to have a blaze orange tip.

How they possibly can see the blaze orange tip, the child holding it and think "kid...toy gun...terrorist?" is absolutely beyond me.

It's Airsoft guns that require the Orange tips.....

Are you suggesting it's ok for 7 year-olds to take airsoft into school?

Any realistic imitation firearm (read: things that look like guns) that isn't a genuine firearm has to have a blaze orange tip, be they airsoft, kids toys, whatever.
