Fungus gnat problem! help?

I have 2 babies inside. I believe I have a serious infestation. I've put a small glass of Apple cider vinegar with plastic over it with holes to trap n kill them inside the grow room. Some have died. I've used diluted Hydrogen peroxide by pouring a little on the soil. They both help but don't eliminate issue. Any tips for a newb? Should I plant something that fights these pests? Thanks!!!

you can use mosiquito dunks in your water for larve, and fly sticky strips for fliers

I feel your pain. The sticky traps work but they won't get the ones that are eating your roots.

I haven't solved my problem yet. But feel free to look at my experiment gone wrong.

Any product containing BT (Bascilious therengiensis) sp, will work a few days apart.

It stops the larvae from feeding.

Flyers do very little damage but can lay upto 300 eggs in a lifetime.

Hypoaspis miles are fungus gnat predators.

Predatory nematodes are a medium defender and will attack any living thing within the rootzone.

SPINOSAD (MONTERAY garden insect spray, conserved NATURALYTE) drenches will also work.

Sharp sand on the top of your medium is a very crude way IMO of getting rid of these pests as this does not cover the entry point at your plant pots drainage holes.

After ridding yourself of them you have to look at whether they are getting back in somewhere.

a few options to hold you off until you can get to a store and buy some proper products if you choose to do so
1.Top layer of sand or ground cinnamon on your top soil will help
something in the ground cinnamon affects the bacteria/fungus in the soil they eat. sand will dry top layer out faster plus the gnats don't like to lay eggs in it
2.sticky traps
3. 3% hydrogen peroxide mixed with water 1/4 ratio
4.Vinegar traps

don't call them babies
dry up your act; make sure things aren't too wet
blow them against sticky stuff with a dedicated fan. muah-ha-ha-ha..........they die in droves

I use smart pots, keeps all the bugs from getting in, that with the gnatnix and then some small growstones and I have a pretty good fortress against bugs.

Fungus gnats are a great sign of over-watering, if soil dries between watering you will have no gnats.

I probably posted up several of the same pics but my phone is acting up bad. I'm Noticing very tiny holes in my leaves. I'm dealing with the gnat problem but I'm afraid I may have another. I haven't seen any webbing but I have seen these very tiny white bugs that resemble ticks on my soil. Anyone have any advice on what may be causing this?

What am I looking for? I don't see any eggs or bugs underneath. There is a little life within the soil. Besides gnats, I saw a COUPLE tiny white bugs crawling on top of soil today.

I looked. Only seeing holes, and slight wrinkles with the holes. Yellowing near them too. Should I clip the sick leaves? BC it looks like its spreading in small groups. Maybe nitrogen deficiency?

Thrips- Very skinny flying bugs kinda look like fungus gnats but skinnier and less translucent? I'm only seeing fungus gnats.
