I wouldn't worry about what the cots are doing too much but the serrated leaves look pretty puffy. Puffy leaves and drooping mean it's overwatered. You want the pellets damp but not soaked, did you squeeze all the excess water out of the pellets after you expanded them?

EDIT: Also, i don't know how the guy in the thread could think the lights are too close, especially with a cfl. They're at a good height
Thanks for the help man, the pellets weren't soaked but they were damp and they keep drying out really quickly because the fan is blowing air on them and since they aren't in pots and all that, the air passes right through the pellets and drys it quick. I came home tonight to two of the seedlings looking better and two fallen over? What do you reckon Ill put a couple of pictures up. They're not stretching so I assume they're at an algood height from the light.

Fallen ones.

Oh wait another one is standing again so well see if the other one does. I gave them a drink and put the fan right on them. I might put them into pots tomorrow because the jiffy's dry out way to fast with the fan.

EDIT: All standing.

I prefer rockwool for seedstarting, it seems faster, and they're alot stronger than peat pellets. First time i used pellets i had to expand 1 more pellet than i needed so i could put the extra peat into the pellets i wanted to use so they didn't fall apart, not using them again.

Thanks for the info and Id have to agree, to be honest these peats are starting to annoy me. Might have to invest in some rockwool.

View attachment 2895676These kind of heads are down in napier/hastings ways in the ruahines. I don't go fishing though haha.

A typical common bushtail posuum. They are a real problem over here mate, they're wrecking the native forest and they attack marijuana plants with no remorse. Thanks man.
spent so many nights trying to protect my crops from these SOBs, I been away from home for over a year now in a country where bud is next to impossible to buy (it takes nearly 3 weeks to score a tinny) so i set up a whorey as F$@# cfl in my closet, i'll be happy to share with the boys back home how mine is going

My latest order was just sent a few days ago. They've been having trouble sending tracked stealth packages so if you pay for the tracked version they'll send it throught standard untracked mail anyway but you're still insured so you can get it resent., the cheapest shipping option is uninsured, there's two options. They'll also send it so there is no signature required so you don't have to use your real name cause you won't have to pick it up from the post office if you miss the post guy.

Prezzy cards are run by visa so they're accepted anywhere online that accepts visa. I used a prezzy card once. Or you could just go to kiwibank and get a debit card with the first years $10 fee waived instead of paying $6 for a gift card because you're paranoid. They can't use your bank statement against you as it doesn't trace back to herbies.

EDIT: if you're using a prezzy card, put about $5 more than what you need cause you can only top it up once and you don't know what the currency conversion fee is, or what exchange rate they're using.

Use ROLLITUP5 for 5% discount.

I ordered some beans from herbies pick and mix. Bought an OG #18 seed for $25 because it's tokindaily's favorite strain and i wanted to see it for myself, it germed in under 24 hours thankfully and it's feminized. Pretty expensive risk if it didn't germ.

Hey can dime or anyone help me out with this? https://www.rollitup.org/t/need-help-diagnosing-problem.837812/

Shot guys
They just need to be fed, looks like a bit of calcium deficiency as well. You said you weren't feeding them, and they have no cots so no way to feed themselves; the cheap crap you're growing in probably has slow release pellets that don't provide enough nutrients to keep the plant fed.You shouldn't need to let bottled water sit for 24 hours. It shouldn't have any chlorine in it anyway.

Look for flairform cmx, it's like calmag but it supplements all micro elements as well as calmag and iron and here in auckland where the tap water is only 55 ppm, you'll need to supplement calcium and magnesium.

You might want to consider growing in coco. It's alot faster than soil and alot easier. Grab a bag of coco ($26) and a bag of perlite, then grab nutrifield or canna coco a&b ($36). I've never burnt my plants using nutrifield a&b and i feed every watering and have perfectly green plants following the directions on the bottle (less when they're younger)

It's a bit of an investment but you'll be happy with the ease of growing. Most potting mixes sold here in NZ come with fertilizers so being in full control of nutrients is another bonus with coco. I use the same coco and perlite for 3 grows before changing with no problems, all it is is ground up coconut husk, no mess.
