Anyone grown autoflowers outside???

I just cut off the very top of my plant to test it out it smells and looks really good but it's pretty airy stuff and leafy too but it's pretty frosty tho first time growing outside so that might be why lol def. diff. from growing under a HPS. I'll see how it is after I dry it out for a few days.

Do a good dry and itll tighten up for ya. Looks good bro! I took some pics but didnt use flash and they sucked so ill take some more tonight

LOVIN the sunshine down on the Peninsula today... and so are the girls! The back-to-back-to-back cloudy/rainy days have been challenging, and I've been battling powder mildew on the 2 in full flower. I've been using Greencure, an organic-certified baking soda powder and its been working great at keeping it at bay. I've dealt with that before and since the pm is a virus infecting the plant there's no getting rid of it, just keeping the plant healthy and battling any symptoms.

My bigger problem is bud rot! This one's new to me but I'm ON IT. I had to get the girls out of the GH and go stealth (alder camoflage) with them for a couple days because of a landlord visit and they got hammered with rain, as a result this morning I found 2 small patches of botrytis... dang! Got the gray and a wide radius chopped out, and other wise they look very healthy. I'm just OCD with the girls and stay on top of every damn thing, since there's just 3. I also opened em up a bit with some pipecleaner LST, hoping for more sun/air circ/etc, it was their first training.

The Amnesia's got a month+ but there's just a couple more weeks on the Hog and Kush. I'm stoked... My second round of autos finished under the 2014 AK sun!

Yeah that's what I was thinking too just give it a good dry and it should be ok stoked to smoke it haha. Your grow is looking good dude props!!

The first round of 2 autos I started indoor under 12/12 HPS, a Auto Skunk #1 and a Headlights Kush Auto. I'm not sure but I sprouted the Skunk around March 15, the Headlights Kush around April 1:

The Skunk took 110 days and developed quality, sticky buds, the Headlights took a bit less and gave me only 2 oz, although it was very stony and lemon zesty. Since then I stopped keeping my journal on dates, with the perpetual I've just been adding new plants whenever there's room and its just kinda flowed. I definitely "finished" these all outside, but I didn't start-to-finish outside! I've got another round of autos going too but I misjudged the timing and they're way too young and just won't finish this year.

Here's another few shots of that skunk- I pulled more than 5 oz off it!

Ha! Nice eye. Yes with the outside girls, looking through the macro I see lots of foreign stuff- like NVHAC49 mentioned earlier the cotton from the cottonwoods is everywhere and loves sticking to sticky nugs.

More troublesome though yesterday I found more botrytis in the two older plants I posted at #144, both in their main colas, so I whacked both off yesterday . I still have 70%+ of the plant growing free-of-rot, and its much more open-air now. Hopefully all the rot's behind me and the rest of the plants will finish- they both smell great and are finally starting to bulk up. Plus only a small % of what I chopped was rotten, so I trimmed the gray out relentlessly and put the remaining still-premature-but-sticky stuff in my exhaust vent to dry fast. Once I have a bunch I'll turn it into dry ice hash... so not a total loss!

I had great ambitions to learn some things about autos this summer, then put what I learned into crossing my faves this winter, in hopes of having a bunch of outdoor AK-compatible seeds NEXT summer. But I didn't select my strains on resistance to rot and PM, and is looking like that might be a deal-breaker for an outdoor coastal AK grower- last summer was VERY different than this one here. So I may be back to the drawing board... which is a place I don't mind being!

Anyway, always learning!

Yeah true that, I just put new plant in a 5 gallon smart pot in some ocean forest soil it's going good so far, gonna leave it outside till it's to cold.

I ended up getting 2.5 ounces of dry bud not to bad I suppose. And man the smoke is really good pretty stoked on it haha.

Any one ever make any feminized seeds if so have you had any luck and what ppm colloidal silver did you use? I wanna try and make some. I ordered some feminized seeds and gonna grow some, any one ever smoke Pineapple Express I ordered one cuz I had to try it haha and if I like it a lot I wanna grow some feminized seeds from a clone of it or any of the strains I'd like to save the costs on buying seeds till we can legally buy seeds up here.

Huh crazy I've read bunch of diff threads on this site saying you can with no problems since it's female pollen. But I could see your point too. Tho, I might just try, ya I'll make some colones too just thought it would be cool to have some seeds since I don't have a vegging tent.

They are referring to selfing a female from a regular seed resulting in an s1 breeding. When these s1 are selfes again there are chances of hermies if original breeding stock was not stable. So grab a ten pack regs from somewhere find yourself a nice female and self that. Female seeds for days my friend!!!
