Making seeds with AUTO FEM BERRY RYDER - Ball's to the wall

So is it just a myth that using a fems pollen on itself produces herm prone seeds? I thought herm was in all genetics and the only factor that varied was how resilient they are to stress before herming out?

@ayr0n, and anyone that wants to listen, when you reverse a plant it is NOT a herm. Through the use of CS or other things like t-mist or STS you are not causing the plant to truly herm. You are not even making chemically induced herms. What actually happens is that through the use of chemicals, you are suppressing ethylene, the hormone for making female flowers, which leaves the plant no choice but to make pollen sacs. So it's not a herm, it's a plant that didn't have an option.

In other words, no spray no pollen sacs.

I'd say its a myth, especially if using CS to change the sexual expression and not stressing the plant to hermie. From what I've learned here, there is a huge difference between using CS vs breeding with an actual hermie.

You'll get S1 seeds, issue isn't really with hermies. I think the issue is with the possibility of recessive traits becoming dominant.

So if I understand correctly this would mean that certain traits the breeders might have been trying to get rid of through selective breeding might come back in the s1s and certain traits they were bred for might take the backseat to the newly dominate traits?

It can bring about both desirable and undesirable traits. You pretty much have the idea I believe. Just keep in mind that some recessive traits can be desirable. I'm sure somebody with more knowledge on the subject can go more in depth than I can and possibly correct anything I may have been misinformed on.

Ohh derp, cuz there's only one parent so one set of genes haha...my bad...not sure why that didn't click right away but good old Mendel brought it back. Thx for the link

Just to confirm, for m own needs and info. I will know definitely soon enough. Within 45-55 days to be exact (ish)..like that one.
Check out pics of my first round of Berry Ryders coming on strong. They are the ones in the black collars. The others in the yellow collars are AKR, sprouted few weeks earlier.
So far the seedlings are acting like the original Berry Ryder from Auto Seeds. Time will tell.
I'm also currently seeding an afgooey...check out afgooey bud pics. Kind of hard to tell in pics but bud hairs take on an iridescent quality and reek like holly HELL!!

Gonna keep on seeding all my stock until I run out of strains to seed...Then have to go to swap meet...
