There will never be a shortage of people telling you that something won't work, but there is always a shortage of people doing things. Cloning in cubes is tough! Yes, soak cubes. Yes, there should be water in the tray! When you press on a cube it should gush with water. The cube is sucking water up and the clone is sucking water out of the cube and up into the plant. The plant is also 'eating' off of the humidity in the dome, so keep it wet brotha!

In my experience, the cut is not as important as the strain's 'clonability' If you found a good thread on cloning...or if you read the instructions that came with the cloner/ on the clonex...then you probably did it correctly.

I'd bet they are standing up and look fine today, but I'd like to see a photo :-) In my opinion, get away from the cubes and buy a clone king, ez cloner, daisy cloner, or build something similar. You WILL have huge root balls in 7-10 days with an aeroponic cloner and you will kick yourself for not having done it sooner.

It looks like there isn't enough moisture in there. Your friend isn't entirely right, they don't look ideal but if you keep them moist and the humidity right there still may be hope

Their will never be a shortage of people trying to spend your money for you. Work with what you got...not alot of people can drop over 300 quid on a aqua cloner. If you still have droopage today, check your water ph make sure its around 6. and give them a fresh drink and drain the old water out. Clean tray every other day. Get a spray bottle with peroxide in it for any mold that might pop up in box (happens er'time) (2 capfulls of peroxide/h2o2 and the rest water)

Yep, I wasted a lot of time and money on cubes and humidomes only to find that, despite success, anything that comes out of a cube system will be 2-4 weeks behind what comes out of an aeroponic cloner when transferred to pots. Ebay clone king $75 US for a 36 site cloner. If this is your only grow, then so be it, but if you are planning on continuing....well, you wouldn't try to grow with cfl's because they are what you have.

See my first two paragraphs of my original answer for how to work with what you have. But dude, the guy has 14 clones and must have been hoping for at least 7 to take. Let's say 2 oz per plant....yeah, $75 on a cloner and 100% of them will take in 7-10 days with 8 inch trails of massive roots...it's a no brainer.

I just looked up "a&b" use a wee pit of A" in some water and give them a drink with that...should perk em up
careful dude. You can clone in just tap water. A cutting that is sitting in just a cup of water will stand straight and tall. Adding nutrients is not going to make them stop drooping.
