At the risk of sounding trite, these people are just that: people. They all have their own stories. Okay, so maybe they don't cope with stress in the same way "successful" people do, and they drink, drug, or just unplug from life. The fact is no one knows the whole story about ANYONE. Period.

YOu can pass commitment laws, panhandling laws, etc, but no matter how may laws are in place, you can't place a law on the human heart, meaning you can't legislate morality. There will always be compassionate people and there will always be self righteous dicks. I'm not labeling anyone on this thread in either category. Just ask yourself honestly: Which one are you?

I was hoping you might. You are so convinced of your superiority that you have to label anyone that disagrees with you as stupid. You don't argue their statements, because you can't. So you attack their intellect or character with false assumptions. And lie about your charity to appear as someone you are not. Oh, you mean the bet you made and then went back after you realized you were wrong and edited the bet??

Where did I say anything, anything at all, about a bed? You want to accuse me of saying something that may be incorrect that NoDrama said? Really flailing about aren't you?

Charity is what I give my wife's church. I don't look at letting people wash clothes for free as charity. I look at it as helping the community in which my business sits. I'm sorry that you take me doing the right thing as "looking superior". You seem jealous

This is why I said bed. You said they can get clothes were they sleep and eat. Not all homeless can even get a bed at a shelter

I didn't say they did. Everyone that comes in gets a free meal though. And free clothing if they want it. At 6:00 o'clock we give them a hot meal, the rest of the day we keep cold food available. When all the beds are taken, we can give them a package of food to go or they can eat it there. After 8 pm, those not assigned a bed have to leave the premises. There was hope that a local hotel that was shut down and seized by the IRS would be donated to the shelter, but unfortunately that did not happen.

Just keep in mind...all homeless in every city can not get free clean clothes whenever they need it.

i really have a hard time believing that red volunteers at a homeless shelter except maybe for the fact that he is exploiting the homeless women.

Any time between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm if they show up at the shelter. Except when the shelter is badly short-handed. The policy is only two full changes of clothing at a time to an individual. I don't know why that is, we have a surplus of clothing. They make exceptions occasionally, tho.

Cheney's stock option became stocks...that's how he was able to profit off the war in Iraq. Not going to have that conversation again.

Why don't you want homeless people able to wash and dry clothes for free? Why do you feel that someone staying in a boarding room or a hotel room is not homeless ?
