I did read it, like I said before, it seems really odd to me to only look at the number of American soldiers killed in each war and conclude because there are less today than in past wars, that's progress. Sure, that's progress... if that's all you care about, or that's all you're looking at, but when you look at the big picture, we've spent thousands of times more money on the defense budget today than in past wars and our country and the world is worse off because of it.
Small picture, pockets of progress here and there, big picture, twelve steps back.
