Growing under Google Earth

First, I think it's comedy checking out all the weed growing in the state of California. From plants growing in folks back yards, to the larger scale grows out in the boonies, our California citizens are growing the ever loving shit out of our favorite plant. Hats off to em'.

Second, I'd agree that having a visible grow show up on Google earth is best avoided if at all possible. Granted, methinks the risks of being visited by LEO is small, though it does exist, but more importantly, IMO, it hides your grows from potential rippers. Whether or not it be kids, or whomever, the less people that know about an outdoor grow the better, including those that would know about it by using google maps.

Stay as safe as you can folks.

I just wanted to let all of the outdoor growers know, your grows are visible with google earth! You should take steps to at least cover with opaque plastic, unless you like the attention. It will help keep rippers out.
GE isn't high res enough to spot personal grows. You're likely more vulnerable to the PD choppers equipped with FLIR. Only larger cities with big populations have that sort of technology.

Try it zoom in
Have you tried it? Can you post a screencap of a small, private grow that you've found on GE?

I've seen the big ones in Holland disguised in fields of corn, but again, imo, there's really no way, just by using GE, someone could distinguish between certain kinds of plants, the resolution simply isn't good enough yet.
