he's about 8 plants over his limit for the county he's in, but i don't think he's worried. he's only about 1/2 mile outside of town too.

There is no way you can identify what kind of plant that is. They could be orange trees for all you know. You're essentially zooming in on what you think is cannabis and calling it cannabis automatically, something actually DEA agents would have to obtain a valid search warrant for. Going to a judge saying "I think this is cannabis, can I have a search warrant?" doesn't really work like that..

If you think the FBI, CIA, DEA doesn't have much more sophisticated tech than GE, you're rightfully mistaken. They don't use GE to locate criminals growing cannabis. To be clear, I agree with you, covering your shit to make it less detectable is most likely the right thing to do considering safety measures, but to suggest that the US government is using Google Earth for such endeavours is nothing short of ridiculous. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a live feed in 1080HD recording license plates and shit at this point. Protect yourself, yes. Be extraordinarily paranoid, no..
