I worked with the Zonk's son and nephew while in the CG and have met him at least a dozen times.

one night we stole 2 bikes, broke into 2 sheds, stole a fire extinguisher, he beat up two cars, and somebody's property (fuckin idiot) car hopped and stole a bunch of shit, shot a gun off at somebody's fence, we were up all night long causing shit and smoked weed till sun rise before passing out and waking up on the floor. ahhh alcohol, so many good decisions . oh yeah we broke into a trailer and stole a generator, a 40 ouncer and 2 packs of smokes

Years ago my aunt pulled a bunch of strings and called in a bunch of favors to get me to the top of the list for an interview for a postman job. I had been up for several days blowing massive amounts of coke and banging this hot drug crazed broad and decided I'd rather continue doing that than secure my future. Told my aunt I didn't get it.

I've since beaten my battle with that stuff. First time I've ever confessed that to anybody.

Mmmmmmm. I can relate to the massive coke habit and filthy women. I still held my job down, but only just. Took a massive paranoia trip and the fear of getting busted with a big lump of flake to shake that monkey off my back. I dabble once in a blue moon now. I had a kid which helped with life perspective.

I don't know why I myself never developed the "habit" for the cocaine. I dabbled, quite a lot in my early 20's. A few of my very best friends I dabbled with, got VERY into it - It fucked up their lives - huge.

Actually, I think my mental problems and depression probably HELPED me, in that regard. When sad, I enjoy things, but not as much as other people. You kind of loose the joy button.

YAY - one thing being messed in the head saved me from - a debilitating coke habit.

I brought 7 lbs of Lambs Bread back from Kingston on a 210 ft Coast Guard ship.

In the 70's (pre piss test) it was well known that the CG had some of the best dope.
Urinalysis killed that though.

I think that although I have always had an addictive personality. That being said, I've always worked and always had a decent home. I don't think I could ever have fully gone to bumsville, no matter how addictive something may be you still need clothes on your back, food in the cupboard and a roof.
