I did that bro I been put them in jars the humidity went up to about 57 an theniI add humidity pack so the smell is there but the taste how long for the taste to get better
I usually cure my buds for two weeks before I try them at all but I like an even longer cure than that, so it depends on where you're at right now but at least two weeks of curing. Sounds like you're doing it right man, just keep doing what you're doing.

For starters the cure works through gas transfer. A combination of respiration and hydrolysis break down the plant. I'm just talking about curing the plant here not the trichomes.
Gas transfer can't be completed with closed stomata, a % of moisture is needed to function properly. We don't know the exact % with ganja as it hasn't been studied. But over 40% is a good assumption. If using boveda for example that keeps it moist, often people forget they still have to burp to complete gas transfer. Starches And chlorophyll etc is broken down here. The more moisture the faster it cures. Mold of any type typically can't survive under 60% humidity

With the time frame you gave I would expect them to still be wet on the inside, may need to up rh and or lower temps of your drying area. Your likely to get a breaking down fermenting smell if you leave it in the jar a couple days. This it breaking down without airflow or anaerobically, not good
