So more than a decade later, what do you think we've gained/loss during that time period?
Imo, I think we've lost much, if not all of our standing in the international community. Our foreign policy has left us in shambles abroad as well as here at home. The militarization of the domestic police forces is a common occurrence today, 10 years ago I don't remember it being nearly as bad.
Here's a clip from 9/12/2001;
I remember the sense of unification over terrorism everyone felt at that time, now most of us are disgusted by the thought of entering another war.
So for me, I'd mark it up as a huge loss all around (except for defense contractors and politicians who only get richer), America, the world, it's citizens lost a lot.. not only lives.
