When i get around to flowering will CFL's help? Which type should i get? and how many would you add? My electricity bill is sky rocketing do i need my 400w halide in flower?

EDIT.. as usual I've read the answer before anyone (excluding ray) posts so i'm gonna add some warm fluorescents in there for the flowering stage and leave the MH on (i may drop this to a smaller Wattage ... 250 maybe ... will have to see what i can get my hands on ...or should i leave it at 400W??

So if i add some CFL's, which wattage and how many should i put in my box? Should i wait till i know how many are Female?

Here are my choices:-

2700K very warm white

11W lamp (630 lumens)
15W Lamp (900 lumens)
20W lamp (1200 lumens)
23 Watt (1500 lumens)
30 Watt (900 lumens)

I've downloaded a grow guide it seems to answer most of my recent unanswered questions... (the FAQ helps somewhat but can be 1 dimensional and not very clear)

I guess i either word things incorrectly making my question unanswerable or no ones interested in helping poor old me out! Either way from now on I'm not wasting time typing questions into this post (or any other on here)

I shall post my grow till i crop in picture format with little information as to not help others (which seems to be the rule of thumb on here)

i'm pretty new to this myself but it looks like your plants have stretched maybe not close enough to the light when u first started the grow that's why there werent much growth but was pretty tall.good luck with your grow

Hi man good growing. I am doing skunk#1 and island skunk. My #1 stretch a lil to i femed 4 and bent them all have a look. I am doing hydro but it will be cool to see how yours tun out compared to mine have a look at my grow i will update it in a day or to. Keep up the good work.

Yeah they're stretched because i started them from seed in the green house for the first 6 weeks with not a lot of sun to help them grow. (I won't make that mistake next time)

I was a little pissed off the other night so to get things back on track heres a small update.

UP'd grow Feed to full strength and FIMed 3 plants.... So i now have 5 topped 3 fimed and 2 untouched. Im going to FIM again on the 2 FIMed plants in a few days (growth Dependant).

Still can't sex any but not going into flower stage just yet...

for flowering your gonna want to go with HPS but if MH is all you got the more watts the better. lates.

ohhh yeah !! My step Bro says hes got a car park light that will fit my ballast!! I have a feeling that its HPS...he says it has a yellow glow!!!

Your grow is doing fine, just wait until the branches are uneven to flower. And the longer you wait the bigger the buds.

On a couple of the topped plants isometric growth has started....i'll update in 2 days.

i was re-potting 8 of them up to 3 gallon pots today and managed to snap a top off one!

In an at attempt to rescue her i tried to use a little LSTing......i then managed to snap the rest of the top off Let hope shes a ladyboy

The temps are up again, all I've done is re-pot the horrible little bitches

I think i'm going to have to drop down in wattage to cool the fuckers. I've got a 150 MH and a 150 HPS Lamp but i wasn't going to put them into flower till the weekend as i have to change the ballast and i don't have the time till then.

will 3 days of these temps just before i begin flower be drastic?

We had a few days of hot weather which played hell with my temps..everything is ok temp wise now and i'm putting into flower tonight.

Another problem now..Im hoping this is caused from the excess heat but could be some kind of nute problem??
One plant is showing this on most of the top 3/4 of the plant another has it on the very top canopy.

Please let me know what you think???

Installed a 150Watt HPS and 4 sockets for my CLF's ready for when i buy them this week sometime.

EDIT: found 4 x 20w CFL's (27k) so put them in.

They have all showed sex, 6 Female, 4 Males.... The males are now compost and the females can breath again(space was tight).

The 2 that had suffered from my cab's heat problems were male

Happy with 6..any more may have been a problem any less might have not been worth the hassle.

Cheers Woz its been a struggle although seems to be a bit less time consuming lately

This may all change as im 1/3rd of the way into flowering and they are over a meter tall with about 14 inch of room left.
