I keep a distance of 24" and get a decent 4x4 to 5x5ft coverage in veg only obviously. I raise the light as needed and as noted before rotation of plants is always key

I don't know off the top of my head, but ballasts run on both 240 and 120, I know that much because in flower they are on 240v as all my lights are. In veg they are on 120v plugs. As for the specs all info is on the website http://www.welthinkusa.com/ballast.php second ballast in the list. I use these exact bulbs no problem with these ballasts, and have for a while http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0085LTW3M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

how much are the ballasts and hood? They don't have any pricing listed. I did email them though.

I purchased the ballasts alone for around $190 shipped , i think the whole package was around 375 to 400 which includes the ballast, reflector, pgz socket adapter and bulb. The ballast alone i use with the og hoods in my flower room

Thanks, that's good coverage, thinking of building a new veg room, 4x6 with 4x4 set aside for one of these ;) Winter's coming, need some projects :bigjoint:

No prob, yea they do the trick for sure. i love winter growing, just not winter itself hahaha
Yeah, winter sucks here and we're supposed to get hit bad again this winter. Good excuse to expand the indoor though :) Just pulled the trigger on a second LEC Sun System. Needed something quick to finish off some outdoor that I didn't want to chance getting ripped at the cottage, finishing them off in the garage with a quick/temp setup, the LEC + 400w of LED to cover the edges should do it. Only need it for 3 weeks and temps have already dropped enough here for me to run a second unit in the flower room. When they're done, will use the second unit to do perpetual runs every 4 weeks in the flower room :bigjoint:

Update day 37 flower, figured it was interesting enough to get it on video lol.
Unfortunately after making this video I found disturbing news regarding my big beautiful white rhino's....:-(...fuckin hermies both of them, shit happens. I didn't want to re-shoot the vid :wall: But I'm grateful I noticed it very early on before the pollen had a chance to spread and destroy the rest of the ladies.

Looking good bro. I had the same thing last run with the dream, she stalled out super early...she eats like a fat bitch.
Good catch on the herm. Way too nice and full of a garden to get seeded.
Thanks GG, def envious of those luscious organics blue dream you got going on. I had no idea the dream is a heavy eating bitch like that haha my next run I have more clones and they'll get more if they like!
Its a catch 22 bc i couldn't be more happy i found the herm before they popped open...but sad two of my biggest ladies just had to go....If i had more space i wouldve finished them else where and used it for hash..oh well

As I had mentioned in the solo cup comp, harvest mode has commenced, with only the blue dream left to finish out. It has turned a bit of a blue ish purple hue with cold watering and temps at night :bigjoint: As always i will update with dry weights which should be in by tomorrow.

I figured I'd throw up a pic of my clone project...this was one of two clones i flowered from rooting up straight into 12/12. When i cut down my white rhino herms (bitches lol) I put this clone right in the same pot and haven't even fed with nutes in 3 week lol. Just straight water and ecozen from aptus. 23" tall ...fun lil project using up no space

Cool, did some similar tests recently with clones straight into 12/12. Once they rooted in a cup, transplanted straight into a 1Gal fabric pot and threw it into 12/12 in a corner with a couple of larger plants in a breeding tent. This one (bottom-left) is just about finished and looks like 1/2 oz dry, it's just one solid bud top-to-soil :) This is good use for any available space and extra clones/seedlings that don't make the big-boy club, or trying out new strains ;) The one in the pic is a "monster-crop" clone, taken from a flowering mom about 3 weeks into 12/12, it produced more than a previous test with a regular clone. But, it takes longer to root these so not sure there's any real gain...

that clone is friggin frosty.

I did a similar experiment using companion crops and no nutes at all. Occasional enzyme and compost tea. The plant was frosty too. Not as much as yours. The flavor was very bland. Maybe more sugars could of helped. I think some nutes help bring out flavor.

Got bored so figured an update was a good idea haha :bigjoint: It's only day 4 into 12/12 but there has been a nice amount of filling in already since the transplant to 10 gal. Also being new to straight coco, i quickly found out they love to be watered often. i used my moisture meter to check the coco and to my surprise what I thought was "wet" was closer to dry! They are happy now or at least I think so as they are praying to the lights lol. Is it a sign of a deficiency? Also need to start using a real camera because I'm not a fan of the grainy pics....
