Bubble has mold....Solutions?

So my first attempt at making bubble was successful. I did two runs on some trim I had and made two nice chunks of bubble. Then I proceeded to let it dry for one day, rolled it in some wax paper and put it in jars. I burped it for a couple weeks but it still developed very fine white spots. Obviously I didn't let it dry long enough. Now what?

After it dries for a day. freeze it for an hour or 2. Then microplane it (fine grater) and spread it out thin on a parchment paper or non stick surface. Then let it dry for another 3-5 days. its best to keep it at a cold temp with no humidity 40-50 degrees. Wine cooler fridges are perfect for that. If you plan on pressing it into hash then room temp is fine. Then let it cure for a minimum of 6 weeks.
ice wax doesnt need to cure as long as hash though. but it will have better flavor with longer cure. become more greasy and melt on itself.

if it molds its trash. it can be harmful. there can even be microscopic mold spores.

Even winterizing won't kill mold. When was the last time anyone used alcohol to kill mold in their house? Never, it doesn't work. Bleach and white vinegar will kill mold though.

after I bubble it, it goes on my 25micron screen directly in the freezer. remove, place on parchment paper and flip over. wait 2hrs, and flip again. leave on parchment paper for a week to dry out. then your good to go. (matt rize tek) works flawlessly for over 2 years and no mold ever. you don't need to jar seal bubble and burp it like weed. theres your issue, you trapped a lot of moisture in the sealed jar.

Yeah, I figured I didn't dry it nearly long enough. This first attempt at has was also m first grow so I'm completely new.

Google and read and watch everything you can on Matt Rize and Frenchy Canolli. They leave a few steps out of their tutorials like ^^^^^^^. If you read through their threads eventually you will find those missing steps. Being gentle with trim, cleaning the resins, the drying process, and the pressing method are key steps in making quality ice wax and hash.

hash - pressed resins

ice wax - not pressed resins

ya .... one of my first outdoor grows came out ehh.. so we made it into about an lb of bubble hash.. and my partner wanted to take his right away instead of waiting for it to dry.. a few weeks later I get a call.. did yours mold? nope.. what did u do ? he says I put them into jars a few days later..

like the dude said.. dry it as patty.. then use something to powder it up. and dry longer.. then jar it up after its dry... good luck.. u can make a bho or ethanol solution. and filter with a syringe like the other dude said.. .02 micron

grating just allows for a quicker dry.. especially if dealing with mold issues..

but its not ness.. I just do bho now.. it comes out nicer.. tastier.. and less work fucking with bubble bags..

All mold is not created equal. Molds living on living matter, such as Powdery Mildew, and Botrytis can elicit allergic reactions, but do not produce aflatoxins. Their body parts can be removed by dissolving the hash in ethanol and filtering down to 0.2 microns with a syringe filter.

Molds composting dead matter, such as Aspergillus, do produce aflatoxins, which can't be filtered out. Your mold from ineffective drying techniques would fall in the latter category, so I personally would chalk it up to experience and flush the hash down the toilet and let the treatment agencies bugs have the good time.

I agree with your assessment that you have a drying issue, as well as the note that Rize & French C both specialize in bubble hash, and supply instructions, so would be good sources of nuances. Bubbleman's Hideout is also a good source.

Where do you get 1.2 micron syringe filters and how many would one need for a few grams of bubble?

i dont not think it will go through that size filter it would have top be dissolved in a solution

but you can get the .2 micron ones off e-bay
