So my first attempt at making bubble was successful. I did two runs on some trim I had and made two nice chunks of bubble. Then I proceeded to let it dry for one day, rolled it in some wax paper and put it in jars. I burped it for a couple weeks but it still developed very fine white spots. Obviously I didn't let it dry long enough. Now what?
All mold is not created equal. Molds living on living matter, such as Powdery Mildew, and Botrytis can elicit allergic reactions, but do not produce aflatoxins. Their body parts can be removed by dissolving the hash in ethanol and filtering down to 0.2 microns with a syringe filter.
Molds composting dead matter, such as Aspergillus, do produce aflatoxins, which can't be filtered out. Your mold from ineffective drying techniques would fall in the latter category, so I personally would chalk it up to experience and flush the hash down the toilet and let the treatment agencies bugs have the good time.
I agree with your assessment that you have a drying issue, as well as the note that Rize & French C both specialize in bubble hash, and supply instructions, so would be good sources of nuances. Bubbleman's Hideout is also a good source.
