Can't wait to see what you put together...
Remember the GD-SDS boxes ?

Well ,the custom mcpcbs with the Oslons are to be thrown away ,
so for each box to carry 3x Vero18 at 3500 K ...

For another sale ...(Sold already ...)

Their Recom DC/DC buck drivers can drive the Veros up to 700mA ....
( A superb Output Voltage range of 2-60 V )

And their 2x-per box , 80 mm 48V industrial grade Pelco Motors fans ,will guarantee more than good cooling .
( plus that they are not that noisy ... )

So,I've two projects to work on and complete ...
One for making a living ..
And one for me ..My new stealthy one !

Could not find a price for that one ...

1300 €

Well ...For the whole "prestige" design ,are not much ..
Rather cheap,I should say ...

But as an actual led light ..
For growing purposes ..
Ok can't get stealthier that total silence of passive cooling ...

But Guod ...
Those heatpipes ...
Are really expensive ...
Not the actual led arrays ,it is bearing ...
And the fixture itself probably is quite 'large' ..
(Ain't so ? Haven't checked the dimensions actually ... )

But If I had a fancy home ...

Well, that is an awesome piece of led lighting art & design ,indeed ...
And rather reasonably / cheap priced ...

Cheers.

The three GD-SDS box system (along with the MeanWell 50 V / 7 A AC/DC psu and wiring ) ..
The "Three little piggies" ..Sold for ...1200 Euros ,also ...

Yeap ...
You shoulda been making lamps ...

Humble way of making a living ...

Sleeping with the solder gun ,under the pillow ...

Sds...
Your lights are worth every penny and more...arduino, temp control, ...ummm. Yeah

I only complain about prices when I see too much corners cut for the price. Your last build was far from that, I'm sure the new owner is very very satisfied! :eyesmoke:

When you see people taking a divorce from their $1500 and yet ,they do not take a last gaze at the money they are handling over ...
Instead they have that look in their eyes ,the same as small kids have when they get and open up gifts ...
Staring at their new ' toy ' ...With their eyes drooling happiness and joy ....

That is priceless ,to me as a maker and designer of the "toy" ...

I hope I would be able to 'monitor' the 'life' of my 'children' ,at least for a short while ..
Probably I'll post some pics ,too ,if I would be allowed to ...

Cheers.

(Sold everything ..The tent ...also ...Fresh start ..Compact and stealthy, from now on ... ... )

I meant to ask you if you sold your first light or were hiding user a different screen name, because I saw a guy with your light on thcfarm...I was a little worried at first. But clearly was a choice of your and a profitable one at that.

Keep at it man. It's always fun for me to watch and learn from you.

Just for comparison ....

The previous fans used ....( 4x )

Sunon MagLev MEC0251V1-0000-A99

120 mm square frame / magnetic bearings (VAPO)
VDC:12 V
PWR(consumption): 5.4 Watts
Oper.Curr. : 451 mA
Speed : 3100 rpm
Noise : 44.5 dBA
Airflow : 108.2 CFM / ~183.4 m^3/h

The new one ( 1x )

Noctua NF-A14 FLX

140 mm square frame / self-centering bearings
VDC:12 V
PWR(consumption): 0.96 Watts
Oper.Curr. : 0.08 mA
Speed : 1200 rpm
Noise : 19.2 dBA
Airflow : 115.5 m^3/h
When measuring the noise levels or dB, how far away do you think one should stand from the unit while testing? I use a free app on my phone called Sound Meter. My BlackStar V2 240W, IMO, is too noisy. At 5ft away, I had a reading of around 48 dB.

Anyways, I'm glad your posting your project for people like me to follow. I'm considering doing a DIY light soon but I first need to spend more time looking at what all the different specs equate to for all the given parts making up such a project.

LOL!
Yes I'm aware of that ...
It crossed my mind,to be honest, the possibility that some may think several things ...

Anyway ...

Yes.
By now I'm a full time led light designer and builder...
I 've started 'locally' ...
And from what I hear ..The 'word' is spreading really quick ...

I'm staying to the top build and parts quality ,every creation is unique and different and prices remaining
in satisfying levels ,for both the final user -owner and myself .

Few pieces per year . Not more than 10-12 .
Duration of guarantee: My lifetime's duration.
As long as I live ,If I will have to ,
I will provide repairing service to my faults/fails or bad designs .
Like the 'old times' ..Kinda ...

Ferraris are made in our neighbourhood...
Here we might be making top-notch led grow lights ...
Who knows ?
Steve Jobs started at a garage ...
One can never now ...

For now, I'm sticking to the 'plan' ....

Cheers.

Usually at 1 meter ... ( Probably like a microphone's or speaker's Sensitivity : dB per W at 1 meter distance )

48 dB is ~30x times louder than 19 dB ....

I knew you had it in you! ......Ever since I saw you make your own mcpcb in your fucking kitchen== mind blown

Congratulations on being a "boutique" builder now......these cobs make life easier than the old days with the reflow oven...ha

Good luck on your future ventures friend......I'll be watching as always .

Edit: wondering if you still keep in contact with the astir crew? How are they doing?

A 'Thank You " ain't enough ,for all the support ,you personally have given to me (and many-many other members...
Be yourself ,brother PSUAGRO...
I'm pretty sure you make even more people happy ,in your real life ,away from the monitor ...

Yes ...' Fried eggs " is a true revolution in the solid state light generation ,in quite enough different aspects ...
And that revolution shares some of it's greatness ,with the led growing scene ...

I'm sure things will get even more 'specific' / oriented ...Thus better ...
By time ...
Ahhh ...Time ...The ruthless Titan Cronos, eating his own children..
Anyway ...

Astir Crew ?
No ..An old " love ",by now ....

Solo Daily Sailing ...

Cheers...

3 pins?... analog control way?... ...not arduino or sensors for temps this time?...

anyway... great fan.... ...i like it...

saludos
Yeap,Salmo..
You got it ...
Not any automation this time ...
(maybe an ' awaiting input socket' and a 2 way switch -manual analog /auto PWM - for future microcontroller digital PWM dimming function ...).

2 CXAs
2 Drivers
1 Fan
1 12 V psu

And few more "classic" parts ,like i.e. the EMI filtered AC socket ...

Simple .Dank .Stealth

Cheers.
