I had a 13 year old kid as a pt with sickle cell. He told me it was an evolutionary adaptation to fend off malaria. He was a neat kid, he even dropped the "so I've got that going for me" line.

As a general rule, airlines do not break the regs. The fines are outrageous for any operator who carries passengers, and the FAA watches them closely. Sure, you get some crew that will try to pencil whip checklists, but that's not because the boss told them to.

It's the private pilots you gotta look out for. I can't even count how many times I've seen a pilot do a pre-flight inspection by just climbing into his plane.

Back to the original question, no, I would not push the button. I would not look forward to the proliferation of sweat houses and child labor. Normal 60 hour work weeks don't interest me in the least, I don't mind working 60 occasionally but I want it to be my decision. I also like many of the regulations that keep me safe at work and prohibit my employer from forcing me to do something unsafe under the threat of job loss. That being said, I do feel that regulations have gotten out of hand and all regulations need re-evaluation.
