First Grow Ever! 9 White Widow 1000W HPS 4x4 Tent Hempy Buckets

i have shit for luck so the only way i go about it is to stack my hand. keep a cut of each one and hold off on deciding until you've harvested and smoked them all.... theres really no other way to have more than a punter's chance.

nit the answer you wanted but surely its the one you knew might come :p

Uh oh, I just realized that I was gonna flower some plants in the same tent I was gonna keep my mothers in temporarily.... Yeah, that's not gonna work. So either I won't be able to keep mothers from this batch (which sucks if I happen to hit a perfect pheno), or I'll have to find a place to put them. But that would require another carbon filter... Which is more money... So I'll have to decide on that.

you COULD just try and reveg them.... but that far from a guarantee that you wont lose the one you end up wanting.

Yeah, I thought of that too... But I think I'll try to get another tent or at least a temporary cabinet of some sort.

Anyways, I think I'm gonna have to flower soon. I've only got maybe 18" to move the light up, so I'm already pushing it close... I'm thinking I'll switch it tomorrow or Saturday. I just hope those damn clones root soon so they won't be too far behind the big plants in flower.

3 of the clones have taken root! Yay! And there's actually a lot of roots, not just like 1 tiny thing. I'll get you guys some pictures tomorrow!

Just a couple more pictures of my plants. Didn't bother to turn the HPS off, but whatever.

Quick question, is it 7-8 weeks of flower from the day you flip to 12/12, or is it from the first sign of pistils?

Alright, thanks!

Man I can't wait to chop these babies down!! It's still like 7 weeks away but oh well! I'm hoping at least 1/2 pound dry.
Best way to tell is the trichomes, you'll want them 90 - 100% cloudy and even some amber that way thc will be at it's fullest potential.

how visible are trichomes to the naked eye? This is my first grow and I started growing because brick weed sucks. Lol So I've probably never seen an undamaged trichome in real life before. Would one of those USB cameras be useful?

Everything looks good to me, you couldn't have made to bad of mistakes....All learning though and it's fun

Well my mistakes were that some not so smart people on another forum told me to not feed ANY nutes for like 2 weeks. I was growing in rockwool with RO water, so they were starving to death. That's why they've technically been in veg for over 3 months. My other mistake was starting seeds at a bunch of different times so I have 3 different heights of plants. But now I know these things so I won't make those mistakes again!

I see, not bad though. Your learning some great things without loss. Can't beat that! the only advice I'll give is be very patient with letting the plants finish properly. So many people harvest early and end up with not so fully realized thc.
