Were those the same strain on the 3 gal / 5 gal comparison? That's really interesting. I wonder if they are spending more energy / time on root development in the bigger pots and that's the difference you're seeing...seems like you'd have a significant difference in yield with an added 2 weeks and an added 2 gals of growing medium...Very nice Ayr0n, it's cool to do those time lapse comparison's once in a while, posted one recently and same thing, it was like wholly shit these things grow fast! There seems to be a point at around 5 weeks from seed and 4 weeks from clone where they just explode. Makes me wonder when some folks flip so early if they're not shorting themselves. Not in the case of SOG or 12/12 from seed of course as that's the whole idea. But just flipping a regular grow with only 2-3 weeks veg is detrimental imo. I'm keeping a close eye on when they tend to explode and seeing the yield in 3Gal pots, I'm thinking right now that's the sweet pot, 5-6 weeks veg and flowering in 3Gal fabric, I've pulled 6 zips in my tent with 2x 3Gal/6 week, not sure if more is necessary to max out efficiency and timelines. I pulled almost the same with 2x 5gal/8 weeks. The Blue Dream I just pulled was 10.5 weeks veg/training and flowered in a 7Gal, that'll give me an idea of the other extreme end of things, should be interesting to see the weight difference but I'm pretty sure the 6 week/3Gal beats out 8 weeks/5gal all considered.
I'd really love to get a time lapse camera set up or something. Have you seen those dutch passion time lapse videos? That shit is fascinatingDamn Ayr0n those plants look really nice. It's interesting to see the week by week changes. I think you should do that throughout the entire life of the plant but I'm sure you have already thought about that. Keep up the good work.
Typically I'd say bigger pot/bigger yield, but throwing in the timeline to take advantage of the larger pots I'm questioning that theory. Those were exact same strains and mothers, 1x JTR, 1x PPP and running almost in parallel. Lighting was different but Watts/Sq.ft. were almost identical. The fabric pots can grow/hold much more root mass so a 3Gal can grow the same as a 5Gal plastic pot imo. Were those the same strain on the 3 gal / 5 gal comparison? That's really interesting. Superthrive? I am a firm believer that any bottled plant food is a waste of money... but superthrive? Doh, your plants look great. Talented growers such as yourself should invest some time in organic growing. It will do wonders for your budOrdered some stuff for cloning today...I know most of it isn't essential but it won't hurt to have a propagation dome or a heated mat around the house - probably help w/ starting seeds too

I got all 4 of the plants transplanted - put 3 in 7 gallon fabric pots (only filled ~5 gallons of medium in them so there's some room for compost teas and watering without making a mess), GG 3 is in a 5 gallon one. Pinched off the new growth on everyone to get some more tops going - In my head it seems like catching the new growth while it's still small and pinching it off would be less stressful than cutting a decent sized top off but who knows. The haven't seemed to skip a beat from the previous "topping" or the transplants. This plant is a lot tougher than I thought - switching over from being extra cautious and pussy footing everything with the autos to being borderline abusive to the photos
Superthrive for the clones - was gonna re-soak the rapid rooters with super-thrive and then adjust their pH when I get around to taking some cuts but yeah this is an organic grow. a little synthetic vitamin b for cuttings isn't really going to negatively affect the final product as far as I'm concerned...Superthrive? I just prefer to avoid using a lot of chemically produced additives personally, but I'm not like selling at a dispensary n labeling it organic or like saving dolphins with PETA..........invest some time in organic growing.
Yeah bro Idk what to think about this...it looks fucked up in person, couldn't quite capture it in a picture...Kind of dropping the ball here. I've been researching other types of cannabis issues besides the typical shit, because it really doesn't look like a common deficiency or excessive nutes from what I can see.I've been very fortunate with pests as I've only had spider mites once. I'm really not gonna be much help here but I hope you get it taken care of quickly.
The thing that is tripping me out is this one doubled in size in 4 days, but so did the problem...Seems like it should be affecting the growth more but maybe it'll take some more time to see the full effect.Yeah bro Idk what to think about this...it looks fucked up in person, couldn't quite capture it in a picture...Kind of dropping the ball here. Hey Moishe, I appreciate the tips. I've been considering picking up DE, and use neem as a foliar spray fairly frequently but I was kind of neglecting the bottom side of the leaves which just happened to be the place my pests are hanging out. I don't know how I could have been so blind but now that I saw what's there I'm seeing them all over - it's fucking mites -.-On a side note, don't go overkill with any remedies. Many healthy plants will heal themselves and naturally resist pests. The diatomaceous earth should be a one time thing (although I always recommend that people use it for their original soil mix). Neem oil and Dr B's spray should be used in very tiny amounts and I would stop using them both by the time you flip your plants.. trust me I have been in situations where I create more problems for plants than I solve while trying to fend off pests x.x... I always seem to learn the hard way
