When does weed hit growth spurts?

Hi everyone, im in my 5 1/2 week of veg since i sprouted my seed. My plant has had a pretty f***ed up life for the first 4 and half weeks as it had some weird light times and was in shitty soil. But now iv got better soil and have had my plant under 18/6 with 2 cool white 4000k cfls. I know i know my lighting isnt the best but its all i can afford at the moment. But basically my plant is quite small for 5 and a half weeks, very small actually. (check attachments).. But i dont have any more seeds so starting again is out of the picture. Nutes ect are fine. What i want to know is, when do weed plants hit "growth spurts"? The very first seed leafs and first set of fan leafs have been cut off as i tried to direct more growth towards the top. Wont be pruning it anymore untill it gets a bit bigger.. IMG_20141121_224423.jpg

iv put it on 12/12 now anyway. Once the lights go out in 15 minutes they are going to be off untill 12 midday instead of 6am and be on from 12 till 12 midnight. Good idea? or no? I heard that it will stay in veg even on 12/12? until its mature enough to start flowering? But if i do this, will it have a growth spurt in the first 2 weeks even though its not mature yet?

I think i should be able to pull of a couple decent fat joints???? If i let it flower for a few extra weeks? THATS if its female

fuck it, il stick to 18/6 then lol for another week or so... then il switch to 12/12... Should i keep my 12w and 26w cool white CFLs for veg? or use 2x 20w 2700k cfls? One of my cool whites are 700 lumens the other is 1700. i know i need more light, but its all i have.

You need to find some more seeds and have a close look at how you brought this one up, could be just genetics but man that's tiny for 5 1/2 weeks. Growing from seed you should pop 2-3 minimum as you'll get shitty phenos even within the same strain.
Here's a camshot of some samples of where they should/could be. The first 2 at the front are clones 19 days out of the cloner and into a party cup, transplanted into 1Gal pots 5 days ago. The 4 at the back are DIY seeds, 5 weeks yesterday from when I popped the germinated seeds into a party cup, the 2 at the very back will likely be culled as I'm not liking how they're progressing. I think you need to go back to the drawing board...

See pal this is what weed plants look like. And this guy, if he wants to, he can make some hash somewhere down the road if he wants to.

Plants dont really have a "growth spurt". They can only grow so fast depeding on conditions/medium. In flower they tend to stretch especially if yu switch straight to hps. My didnt thou. They continued to grow at about the same rate once put into flower. I keep my lights close ;)

Edit: crap i forgot i flowered my plants vertically. All the growth went majoritably sideways instead of up :)
