Granted, the UN is not a perfect organization, which might have something to do with it being run by people from all over the world., but it really is the only game in town (planet). There will always be criminals and criminal nations, so what the fuck does the UN have to do with that? Is the UN supposed to save man? I don't think so. Their purpose is to provide a means of dialogue for all nations to speak, almost equally, even if the majority of the nations are run by dictators as you mentioned (?). One problem with the UN in my opinion is that it should have more authority to deal with nations that ignore its resolutions, such as Israel. This year alone the UN passed 21 resolutions condemning Israel for it's actions in the West Bank, Gaza and Israel itself. There were 4 other countries sanctioned with 1 resolution each, and those were Syria, Iran, North Korea and Myanmar. No other countries on the whole fucking planet. The Fucked up Five, that's what they should be called. But what does the UN do to these criminal states? Well, the first 4 nations were, or still are being sanctioned or embargoed, so that made life there a little more unpleasant than their normal daily hell. The fifth nation on that list of cocksuckers, Israel, HAS NEVER HAD SANCTIONS OR EMBARGOES EVER PLACED ON IT! This after repeatedly ignoring resolution after resolution after fucking resolution requesting that Israel modify it's actions in regard to the Palestinians and the West Bank and Gaza. They ignored every single one. That is wrong, and is a prime example of why the UN is useless really. Why? Because the Security Council doesn't really work, at least the 5 Permanent Members having an all powerful veto part. The actions of the US in regard to Israel is a prime example. Basically the whole Assembly can vote against Israel, which it has, and the US will veto any resolution condemning Israel, which it always does. Done deal, so go about your settlement building, the US has your back. So what good is it if countries ignore it, like Israel. They know that the UN actually will do nothing, at least not much more besides going in after the conflict and picking up the pieces. It should be one nation, one vote, with no permanent members on the Security Council and a simple majority vote wins, with MANDITORY sanctions for violations of UN resolutions. Maybe it might accomplish something then, but knowing the US with it's veto and it's love for the old country, Israel, it will never happen. Not in a million fucking years.

Were those actions a result of that UN resolution that took all the land in PALISTINE, and gave it to the Jews and still is occurring everyday, absofuckinglutly.
