Ducksfoot is a strain. Current versions are F4 or F5s, so its almost an ibl.And isn't Ducksfoot a trait not a strain.
Yes, it is a trait. But once you stablise a trait, it becomes a strain, yes?

Well not 100% with you here. You stabilize a lot of traits to make a strain, not just one in particular. I have a ducksfoot trait on my sour grape. I just was unaware there was a strain called ducksfoot. What are its genetics?Ducksfoot is a strain. Current versions are F4 or F5s, so its almost an ibl.

Looking at the list of these legendary stuff. Alot of them can be found in crosses.http://en.seedfinder.eu/database/strains/unknown-or-legendary/
There is a list for reference... But, Who has them? Seed or cutting? Strains like chemdawg, sensi star, northern lights, dnl (just heard about this, and I really want it!)?
I Am talking about the real deal, not the knock offs.
Landraces would be included as well.!
It comes from wally duck. The ducksfoot trait is found in the old school afgani. Which is similiar to the family line of deep chunk. Sourgrape is sour grape, sure you may find a DF trait, but its not something expected to be found in SG. Its prob an afgani mutant pheno of SG.Well not 100% with you here. totally not trueAlot of them can be found in crosses.
Just some examples man, what you seek exists. You just need to find it
I don't know about pollutes, but dilutes, yes.totally not true
A cross of a legend, doesn't make it legendary. It actually waters down the legendary traits and pollutes the gene pool.
Thanks. Dilutes. That's what I meant to sayI don't know about pollutes, but dilutes, yes.
Not trying to argue with you man, you do know your OGs. I do think the crosses marketed as those OGs are misplaced and further confuse buyers. I do think perhaps with good parental selection some awesome plants can come from such crosses.
If that is your opinion, thats fine...i m not gonna argue as i do consider what you mentioned to be true as well.totally not true

Pure is better than diluted.Dilution is better than extinction.
But what is pure? These genes in OG seem to be recessive with crossings and elusive to lock down. Just a thought.Pure is better than diluted.
idk about this.. Just because you cross two great strains doesn't guarantee anything.. And I just don't understan your last part at all.. You can have "legendary" phenos of skunk, widow and NL imo..If that is your opinion, thats fine...i m not gonna argue as i do consider what you mentioned to be true as well.
However, if u took 88 g13 x hp and crossed it to BSH. Which are both "legendary" (invert commas cause selection is key). Would the resulting cross be considered legendary? According to the list, it is...
But with a cross be it f1 or anything. You could always select the traits you want say g13 funk, Deep chunk frostiness or punto rojo's rootbeer smell from resulting f2s, phenos or what ever and selectively breed it to express those traits. It may not be exactly the same but it would be similar.
I reckon it only pollutes if you cross legends with skunk, widow, nl, big bud etc...but if your taking panama red '74 and crossing it to swazi roobibard...it could be considered an improvement or a pollutant, depending on the which you side of the fence you sit on.
Pure is the cut I have growing in my garden. The same cut that's been around since the early nineties. But what is pure? These genes in OG seem to be recessive with crossings and elusive to lock down. Just a thought.
Agreed, but not everyone has the luxury of making a trip to a local dispensary and having 50 strains of og to choose from. Diluted is the only thing available to a lot of growers. And it seems like there are hundreds of cuts of og out there. They can't all be the real deal, can they?Pure is better than diluted.
I get it... And I bet most are renamed or fake.Agreed, but not everyone has the luxury of making a trip to a local dispensary and having 50 strains of og to choose from. Yeah but I'm talking about the originals not crosses...Looking at the list of these legendary stuff. Alot of them can be found in crosses.
Here are a few examples from ya list, that i know of and understand.
88 G-13 HashPlant f3/f4s -> Ndnguy, Mota, Hazeman, Bodhi ( i have this its not hard to find)
98 Aloha WW- Hazeman
Apollos-> mota, subcool, a few more....
Black rose -> Heath R or sickmeds in their bizzare strain
Black Russian-> I think subby has it in a cross
Afgani/Hawaii ->i think MNS has something to offer like this.
Blueberry sativa-> you can find them in the F13, Vanilliaum or grape kush. Not easy to find but they do appear and are descendants of the BBS.
Butterscotch Hawaiian or rather free leonard -> orginally from ndnguy/swampy. But BCbud deport the big is the FL aka 88 g13 hp x BSH if i'm not wrong.
Just some examples man, what you seek exists. You just need to find it
Sannies sells ducksfoot...not sure if that's the answer to the question...but it's available..And isn't Ducksfoot a trait not a strain. I don't think a bunch on that legendary list are really legendary at all... those lists are silly.
