Affordable?

Show me where there are a lack of satellite facilitys
Wow...

Show me where there is an abundance. Show me where even one more would cause harm and not help. They are also limited by CON.

Nearly every town in the US would be helped by adding another facility to treat people.

Do you understand how more competition would help or are you still stuck on it making costs go up? smh at that one.

Don't stop now, you are doing awesome!

Dude, you are seriously going to pull the "I know a doctor" card. Do you know what I do for a living? I know a doctor too.

CONs prevent medical care centers from opening, they prevent home health agencies from opening, they prevent medical equipment companies from opening. You are trying to make the argument that this keeps costs down.

Want to move onto the next one yet? You are doing so well I'm enjoying this.
They Also prevent hospitals from relocating and leaVing an area without facility's.

They also decrease the cost of health care.
If you have 1 hospital serving 1000 people and now you have 2 hospitals serving the same 1000 people
both facilities have to INCREASE prices to pay for there equipment.

The supply and demand part of the equation is patients. Not the number of facilities.

The poorly served are rural and inner city. Without CON laws hospitals would flee these areas. Leaving the community with nothing

First, no hospital is forced to stay open and lose money, you should be ashamed of yourself for even making that argument.

Second, those patients will be competed for. That's where hospitals are forced to go above and beyond to attract pts from competitors.

Third, if an MRI company can sell 3 thousand units instead of 3 units, they can do so at a lower price. If you have a choice of 3 different MRI companies to use, they will have to compete for your services. They do not accomplish this by raising prices like you claim.

You seem to be trying to use google to find something that fits your argument and misunderstanding the info they are giving you. Try doing this just using logic.

No hospital is forced to stay open.
But CON laws prevent hospitals from shutting down and then opening up in another community.
And in under served community's. CON laws don't stop hospitals from opening up.
Problem is for profit hospitals don't want to open up in under served community's.

And yes you fucking racist fool I do know a doctor. Actually 2.
his wife is a doctor as well

The I know a doctor slam was me laughing at you because I work with hundreds. The fact you know 2 is cute, but doesn't help your argument.

CON laws do not prevent a hospital from closing. I can open another hospital anywhere I want (as long as my CON is approved) and close any hospital I want.

Of course they don't stop them from opening in underserved areas. That's what the need part of certificate of need means. Geez...

But why can't I open one across from the shitty local hospital nobody likes but has to use because CON are not approved for competition? Because, as you know, somebody somewhere decides that for us working with CONs.

You can admit you didn't know what one was and are googling to find an argument to fit your narrative and we can move onto the next if you'd like.

Can you imagine if auto companies had to operate under the same lunacy? Or restaurants? Or mechanics? Or plumbers? I'm sorry sir, we already have a plumbing supply company here, if we let you open one, then costs for pvc will go up....

Like you said.
CON laws won't prevent you from pulling out of a community if your CON is approved

You are captain obvious.
I'm disengaging from you.

Why so hateful man?

Why are you giving up? I thought you were generally interested in other ideas? We are just getting started.

You can close a hospital without approval from a CON. What lunacy are trying to convey now? Are you saying the government has a right to force a business to stay open losing infinite amounts of money?

Did you read something about county hospitals? Because if you are, I agree that Wayne County General can't move to Oakland County and still be called Wayne County General and have Wayne County taxes support it.

Well it made work go by faster.
Have yet to here one idea from him that doesn't fatten the bottom line of a corporation at the expense of health care recipients.
In your mind. You have yet to explain how more competition is bad for health care recipients and good for bottom lines of corporations. Cause it does isn't really an answer. How does having more than one restaurant cause consumers to pay more for food? How does having more than one lumber yard raise the cost of lumber? How is having choices a bad thing?

Want the next idea yet or are you ready to wave the White flag.

So far Cheezy you have made the argument that there is a state that will sell shitty policies that won't cover anything, be accepted anywhere, but we will all still buy it.

You've argued that it's illegal for a hospital to close. You've argued that if we have more choices that it will make costs go up.

Wanna keep going?

his statements don't make sense; i think GW has been drinking.
A little buzzed.

My statements make perfect sense, you can admit you don't understand them if you like though, I won't hold it against you.

Do you think Cheesus is making sense? It will give me an idea of what I'm up against.

"On no! That billionaire only paid $150,000,000 while I got a refund! They should pay more in taxes! They don't pay enough!"

Said lots of people all the fucking time.

Crazy.
If the rich get richer, who do you think they take it from? Is your standard of living better than that of your folks when they were your age? A lot of people have to answer 'no' to that anymore...

In other words, if they pay less in taxes, then they stay rich while doing nothing. That's also called wasteful bloat and it will destroy any society burdened with it. Before you disagree, think hard; name a civilization that's lasted where the rich survived? You know, the opposite of Caligula.

You won't find one.

I'm not understanding this. Are you saying Bill Gates making money takes it from us?

Do you feel you deserve money from another person because they have more? I hope I'm just reading this wrong.

no. but they should be paying the same rate that everyone else has to pay; 35% tax bracket or greater.

just because you have a lot of money doesn't mean you should benefit from special treatment..and you do.

Yes, this I agree with. They should be paying the same rate as everyone else. Glad to see you come around.

Also, 250K a year is not a rich person, please don't put them in the same category as Al Gore. (not that I've seen you do this, just in general people do)

This only verifies that you are ignorant on the subject of business.
Why would a hospital make a huge capital investment in a city in which it cannot make any money? Do you understand what a business' main goal is? Any idea?
