1,000 watt setup currently, completely sealed 10x10 room, with intake port and exhaust port. Exhausts through roof, intakes from another room in the house that is unused and has the heater vents plugged. Well i have 6 inch in and 6 inch exhaust , 435 cfm fan, and i still cannot get my temp under 82 degrees. SO, i need a portable ac unit.
Maybe a recommendation for a cheap unit? On a budget currently, just did some more recent fancy upgrades that burnt a hole in the wallet.
The main question is, most of these portable AC units i am seeing, have two tubes/ports coming out of them. Honestly, i really do not know how AC works. What are these ports for. Is there such an A/C unit that i can just put in my sealed room, fire it up, and let the cooling begin? I just dont want to go out and buy one, if its not going to work. Through the research i have done, most commonly said is that 6,000 BTU per 1000w. Need that verified aswell.
Thanks guys!
