If you want solid genetics then Herbies is what I recommend. I don't think better genetics is going to solve your stretching problem, as that is usually do to grower fault. Good Luck.

Decided to go with autos, i want to yield relatively quickly. I understand all the pros and cons, sadly i'm more of a cash cropper and it flys out of my hand

Hey what kind of light do you use? I've had to run bag seeds before and the quality of bud wasn't as good as seeds I order but usually grow great.

I lowered my light down to 4-8 inches from plants so they are focusing on other things besides stretching now. The light i have over top is a t8 double fixture with 2 4 foot 6500 tubes. I have 2 lamps that are not being used should i put 6500 cfl's in those and throw them on the outside just for more all around light? or will the light thats overtop do enough, take into consideration these are 6 days young, right now im seeing that my first set of actual leaves are outgrowing the cotyledons

Yea it's gunna be hard to stop the stretching with t8. Do yourself a favor and continue growing bag seeds and spend that money on a light. Fluorescent lights are good but need to get t5. A cheap alternative would be apollo. you can get a 400 watt hps/mh dimmable ballast and hood for 100$. Then buy some decent bulbs will be another 100$ and watch those bag seeds explode. The light you have will always cause stretching and won't produce nice fat nugs in flower.

why would the light i have always cause stretching, isnt that height related? i can get a couple t-5s easily from lowes today man i just have this nice set of t8 its big an lights up good but let me know

and you know im not trying to flower under these t-8s right? your just saying it wont promote a strong vigorous plant all the way throught veg to be able to tack on huge healthy nugs

when I started I had t12 shop lighting fixtures for seedlings. Always had stretch even if the plant was just about touching the bulb. I know t8s are a little better than t12s but the way my guy at the hydro store explaned it ro me was...that bulb does not get bright enough over the 2 inches of bulb that seedling can use to satisfy the babies not to try and stretch for more light. When I switched to t5 for seedling it was night and day. Sorry I shouldn't have jumped the gun sounded like those were the only lights you had. So I figured you were going to try and flower with them. Just trying to help lol don't know if I am or not
