I agree that food is also a basic right.
Luxury is not.
You just asserted that it is a privilege.assumption and assertion that a privilege
You do realize that every time you claim something is a right on the other hand you are placing an obligation upon the people who have to fulfill that right.poor sad little man

if voting is a right then I need the ability to read the ballot and what I'm voting for. A basic education will solve that. You do realize that every time you claim something is a right on the other hand you are placing an obligation upon the people who have to fulfill that right.
I am not allowed to you obligating me further and further into service of the government? Isnt that one of my rights?
Also, in most cases, a basic education is necessary for survival in our society.if voting is a right then I need the ability to read the ballot and what I'm voting for. A basic education will solve that.
By that argument you nee a car, a house, a stipend and every other thing in the world because voting is a right.if voting is a right then I need the ability to read the ballot and what I'm voting for. A basic education will solve that.
Who is arguing against education? Also, in most cases, a basic education is necessary for survival in our society.
Wait voting is not a right ?By that argument you nee a car, a house, a stipend and every other thing in the world because voting is a right.
Our constitution is based on limiting government, not limiting people. It is based on freedom, not servitude of some for others benefit. But it has been twisted completely around and now the government can tax an individual to give money to another individual and it was never meant to be that way.
The bill of rights is protection from the government, not a grab bag of goodies for being born American...
According to the GOP platform. Our constitution is based on limiting government, not limiting people.
so you do agree we need public schoolsWho is arguing against education?
You are attacking an invisible straw man...
Not a strawman, I'm explaining why it's a right.Who is arguing against education?

well you teach your kids over the internet. you can call it ...home schooledI am not sure we need public schools like I am not sure we need the post office.
We do need a mechanism to teach children and I agree that society spending money on the PRIVILEDGE is a good idea. Again, there are things I agree with regarding taxes. But the current system isnt teaching all kids, in fact it is failing many of them.
Now that we have the internet, teaching and classrooms can radically change and not be about location or time but be about classes and much more focused teaching with the proper software and guidance.
