Personally I use the nibbler to cut out the fan & heat sink -large - openings to the case ...I liked your nibbler idea (among many)..its been handy for small cutouts. It is a little quirky but i'm getting used to it. The dremel with metal blade and files are good for cleaning it up
The pneumatic or electric nibblers look like they would make short work of things but a bit overkill.
LOL!ugh... hand nibblers are work.
You need one of these:

I use 4" cut off and fine tooth jib blades. I want a plasma BAD. LOL That and tig machine.
Hey SDS,And just for the record ...
The new Tetras V series light ,at it's max setting ( 4x Vero 29 @ 1530 mA )
has a plug power of 270 Watts total .
The light is just blinding ..
Here ,a pic with the Tetras fixture illuminating a little Echinopsis pachanoi .
Errr...Another favourite plant species of mine ...

Cheers.
If you're reffering to the E.Pachanoi ,no ,I've just placed it under the light for the sake of a good pic.Hey SDS,
Is that actually your method for illuminating the plant? What is the spacing lamp to canopy please?
Thanks,If you're reffering to the E.Pachanoi ,no ,I've just placed it under the light for the sake of a good pic.
Usually E.Pachanoi is cultivated in shade and not under direct sunlight /powerful artificial light ..
(Same as with Salvia Divinorum <=the only plant species that I was "pleased ",
when all the specimens I had ,were dead..).
As for Cannabis Sativa L. ,the distance is at average about a foot or a tad more ,in veg /early flowering
and slightly less than a foot during mid/late flowering .
Cheers.
Uhm...Having great vacations ,I guess ...Wats a san pedro doing all the way over there?
Try to "acclimate" for a week or so the plants ,by having the light fixture kinda distant from the canopy ...Thanks,
I just read your post about leaves that have adapted to high par lighting and i have a concern.
Since my mars failed ive held both my flowering and vegging plants under cfl. Its been almost 2 weeks. Tmwr the optic vero 29,360 is scheduled to arrive. Is there any precautions i should take to ameliorate the abrupt change in illumination?
Should i pump up trace minerals or moisture levels as a precaution or start with the light at 24"? Ive got 3 ladies in 7 gals in a 2 x 4 space.
Maybe a little overkill. Lol!LOL!
THAT is an overkill ,at least for LED grow lights DIY making !
Still....
Lately I'm seriously thinking moving into "custom sports car " designing & building ...
(I mean it ..)
I like those,very-very much & I'm really inspired by :

I think a plasma cutter and a tig welding machine ,should come handy ,then ..
Cheers.
no wonder Page refused to work with Plant...hahaha...what if they had a been a trio instead of Plant coming over from the YB's...it probably wouldn't be as popular, but damn would it be good...I did not know this, NG!
That Jimmy Paige... mastermind and all.
I don't like how Jimmy/Zeppelin stole Jake's work and showed no credit for it. Not very pious in my eyes. But you can't say that he didn't do something amazing with Jake's work. It's like the guitar maker; he could only do so much with his creations but those customers who bought his guitars eventually brought out the true potential from within his works over time.
