Awesome bro! Looking great! What I did was I sat the whole container with the ice in a bucket of water so the water was 1/2 way up the container with the ice block, but putting the ice by itself in water will be fine too

Ok well I drained it and bagged it, I kinda spilled some.. I don't thinkit was a lottt but ehh it wasn't to little lol. I don't think it made a HUGE diff with the spill. Anyways, I used the 190 and 160 to filter, probably coulda skipped the 160 from the looks but I caught it all with the 45.I'm expecting a gram tops from the looks of it but it actually looks pretty good! Probably one of my best runs (not with the same material) but looks good! once it's dry I'll weigh it!!

Hell yeah dude! Looks delicious!! Consider yourself the 2nd person to try this method 
There was such a tiny amount in my 160 that it wasn't even worth using it IMO. Sucks about the spillage but looks like you got a majority of it in the bag, , ain't it crazy that the 160 doesn't really catch anything? This method really is easy and there's hardly any particulates that make it through. Let me know how it smells/ tastes. The only thing people mention is that buds sitting in water a while degrade the terps, but I've really not noticed it, though using older trim is hard to tell.

Booom! Found my microscope! Looks pretty damnnn good to me! For sureee one of my best runs as bubble if not the best. Considering the lack of bags needed! What do you think @AlphaPhase

So clean it's unbelievable look at all those happy Trichomes fully in tact, so awesome and glad it worked as well for you as it did for me, I can't wait to do another run soon,I think I'll try to make something small but effective to hold the water and trim, maybe something with a cap that would let me fill the water through the cap to the top of the container, put the cap on and freeze, something easy, I'll pick something up at home Depot before the weekend

Haha thanks man! They deff still look full and intact! I want to try and think/make something to make the material hold as well. Had a couple of ideas just gotta try it! Was thinking maybe a upside down mason jar or something perhaps.. I wish this stuff would dry sooner so I could try it!

Im thinking of getting one of these in the 25u, much easier I think than working the bag.

I just purchased bubble bags and have old trim/pop corns collected from 4 months ago in a plastic bag. I threw the bag in the freezer a couple of days ago and when I have time I'm going to run it and see. The only difference to your method is freezing the trim dry vs in water. I plant only doing it normally thereafter but with little to no agitation. I am hoping that freezing the trim will make the trichomes just snap and fall off. Will see how this goes and will share results. If my method doesn't work, at least we all know of this awesome method thanks to YOU

Just bought the 25u ez strainer on eBay for around $12 shipped. Prefer that than a bag personally lol.

Alright dude ...... You got me all excited to try my bags with your post and method hahaha. So I got home from work a little ago and I started making bubblehash even before changing my clothes
What I used was dried up old trim, leaves, stems and popcorn buds from a previous harvest (4 months ago) most of which is G13 labs Pineapple express with little northern lights purple haze and liberty haze. I froze everything for a few days then mixed it with ice and room temp water collected from my dehumidifier. After little agitation with my hand, which I must say is a Popsicle now haha, I poured the water through 220-190-160-45 then25. 190 only had little coarse debris which I washed away. The 160 had a small amount of coarse hash. Most of the hash was in the 45 bag and very little in the 25. Here's a pic of what I got. I'll dry then weigh and report here

An idea for keeping it all under water. If using a pot of some sort... Put some water in it, say 1" at the bottom. Freeze it. Then pop it out to make an "ice lid". Put in your bud and water and then throw the lid on top. It ought to cause the weed to stay in the water, below the ice lid.

That's a pretty good idea Growindad,i think it would work pretty well.
I think if I make hash again soon, deff gonna do it this way again. The smell still smells exactly like the material I used.

Ok I just weighed it cause it's pretty dry and I can't wait lol. Used 20g of trim and just weighed .8 so i got a little under 5% so not horrible. Kinda expected that amount considering the age and quality of material. I would usually get 1.5g of oil if memory serves me correctly. I need to do other extraction methods with the same material to see yield results.
I did try some of it, tastes wonderful and melted beautifully! I've never had hash, hash I made and hash I bought, really bubble much let a lone melt!

Nice strainer warmachine! I think I'm gonna pick one of those up too, looks like it'd work nice. 5% isn't too bad but I bet we can get the yields up for sure, a little more tinkering with things here and there we should find some tricks to boost the yields -That's awesome it came out melty! That's what we're aiming for
looks great DrCanna! The 25 is always a little runny, what i do is I'll set the bottom of the 25u on top of a towel before I scoop it out, it'll soak up all the moisture and it'll be much less runny. I just pictured you running out of work like the dukes of hazzard and sliding across the hood of the car, jumping through the window and slamming on the gas to get home and make hash lol! That's how I feel like sometimes lmao
Great idea growindad, i had a buddy mention that but all of my bowls and containers are tapered, so it's smaller on the bottom, if I can find a container the same size on the bottom as the top, that would work perfect!
