Yo man I've read through your whole thread and your grow is looking pretty dank. Good luck with the plants and cloning device. You should really get rid of that foil and just go and buy some white foam board or something and throw it around your plants. Also to maximize the lights you could either hang them vertically above and in the middle of the plants or make some cheapo beer can reflectors. Not sure where the link is but you can find it somewhere on this site on how to make them. The more light the better. Have you been giving them nutes still? How far away do you keep your CFLs from the tops? Make sure those lights are secure because I've heard of tons of people losing their plants because their lights fell on them.

thanx kotton, lights stay bout 1 1/2-2 inches away for the 42w bulbs & bout an inch for the others, been giving small doses of some cheap bloom burst from walmart lol, yes i do have lights tucked in the middle of that mini forrest. soil also has some nutes, not much tho.

i got a question on this cfl growing well maybe more than one question. First off i am using 4 42watt =100 watt i think. cfls. two are daylight and two are warm white 2700 k. now is it ok to use both of these lights to flower or should i just use the warm? by them selfs? my plants look good but they are getting leafy around the where the buds are starting to grow. On my first plant i cut all the leaves off and they have small buds and seemed to grow really slow. i dont think im going to cut any leaves off this one. suggestions?

i've heard growers here say that thwey use both specs of light during flowering & vegging. more blue (daylight) for vegging & more red for (warm white) flowering. after mine started showing i put a few daylight bulbs in around the bottom & middle where you tend to have young weak branches due to lack of light.

those leaves are there for a reason, don't cut them off. i've heard of removing some large fan leaves or even trimming them back a bit, but not stipping a tree bare.

i'm looking for a way to ph up & ph down my water for my next grow. using distilled water this grow round & i was at work thinking a bit & that 74 cents adds up. if i spend $5 a week for 4 months i'm out $80 ! now wasn't 1 of the best reasons to go with cfl's the low cost. by the end of this grow i would have spent just as much in water that i have rigging this contraption...lol

its all good cuz if all goes well i'll def save well over $80 not having to go see the weedman for a bit...lmao

no prob GB. hell, i've heard of people tilting thier plants a lil instead of tying them down. hell man, you just started something new. don't tie down or tilt your pot folks...JUST TRANSPLANT THE BITCH CROOKED ! your a genus in your own rite. lmao....its all good & so is your grow.

if its that shyty hyponex soil we spoke about, i would say use it...i thought about how things went down & i think i fucked up my plants when i mistakenly used the wrong water when feeding. everything went back good after a good flushing & feeding of the correct water.

i think you also fucked yourself with earlt nute usage. my girls are now fine & i still have them in that soil.

don't get me wrong, the soil is shyty as far as holdin water & turning into dust the very next day after watering. looking like the sahara...lol

i say all that to say this, use that if thats all you got. it shouldn't hurt them.

well i did do a lil reading up on the molasses. sounds like something i wanna give a try but i keep reading mixed reviews. the main thing being growers saying they now have bugs when there were no trace of bugs b4 the molasses. the last thing i need is to have these girls get infested.

I just bought some hyponex for my grow, .75, and from what I see it was waaaay better than what I had before. Just make sure you feel the bag and squish it and stuff before you buy it.. seems like good soil to me
