... it was just my experience with med vs my experience with CC...For me, things seem to escalate with MED... with CC.. it is just total annihilation.. gloves off and 100% postal! just GO nuclear..

I cannot argue that GK has not had the experiences he's had. However, I disagree that med does not also go nuclear specifically because of my experiences.
I don't think I ever remember seeing you tell people to fuck off, or fuck off and die. He does that a lot.
You both choose your weapons and use them, and in my opinion they're both just as bad. I think it's perfectly possible to disagree with an idea, even attack the idea, without attacking the person (especially on a personal level). But, I was brought up discussing politics, whereas most others haven't been and they tend to get a little hostile when presented with conflicting ideas, or if their ideas are attacked, some take that personally when it isn't.

Doesn't work.....not on the computer. You either destroy or your swamped in no time. If I want to make a point, and be entertaining, which is the only way people will read what you're saying, I have to go all the way. You step on my toe and I'll cut off your leg. It's the only way, on the computer especially, and in many situations, in real life. Sometimes we must be passive, sometimes aggressive, and sometimes assertive. Each has it's place, each is effective in certain situations. To deny yourself a useful tool is to not want to make your point.

That's really the money quote in this whole discussion. John McCain and his Republican cohorts would be only to happy to put every single of us in jail. I'm an Obama guy, personally, but that's beside the point. If the conservative approach to governance appeals to you, consider voting for Bob Barr. But the idea of supporting someone who would have you frog-marched into a jail cell just isn't rational.
