Ya gottcha, the inefficiency causes the light to be created which in turn produces heat.a 1000w is roughly 30% efficient. Led is about 40% - 50% efficient. If hps was a 100% efficient they wouldn't produce any heat

Well im sorry if it sounds dumb but its all over the internet dude. Have a look, cyou know how many falsely advertised led lights were around? Check the true draw vs supposed draw on some of these lights. Or just act like a little bitch. No seriously, how could you possibly think the designer of a lamp doesn't know what current it's drawing and what voltage it's dropping... How does one even design these lamps... hmm. This just sounds dumb.
http://www.cree.com/~/media/Files/Cree/LED Components and Modules/XLamp/Data and Binning/ds CXB3590.pdfIve never even seen a cob before. Funny i figured id see one here or any data on them. Nadda....zero, squat, dick, ziltch, nuthin....
If you don't understand what you're talking about, your input is meaningless.Well im sorry if it sounds dumb but its all over the internet dude. Dude, come on man. How many times do people have to tell you that these panels are shit. No one says they aren't. Why so stubborn? Do yourself a favor and don't even think of those as LED options. When you build your own light, you only talk about the true draw. I'm not trying to sell you something. If I say I have 300W of LED, then that is at the plug, 300W. Same goes for anyone else talking about their COB builds.Well im sorry if it sounds dumb but its all over the internet dude. Have a look, cyou know how many falsely advertised led lights were around? No. The inefficiency means that the instead of light, you get heat. Most of the light produced eventually turns to heat regardless of your lamp's efficiency.Ya gottcha, the inefficiency causes the light to be created which in turn produces heat.
i love how people just love to argue and not look into why they are fighting in the first place. The cob is the future and it's actually been present for a while if you can get the same intensity and photons to the canopy from a cob or hps how can you say that one or the other won't work? If you'd take a couple minutes to comprehend some of that stuff they told you to read you might realize that these aren't your crappy 400w panel with a bullshit actual drawIve never even seen a cob before. Funny i figured id see one here or any data on them. Nadda....zero, squat, dick, ziltch, nuthin....
o and pretty sure lots of stadiums have switched to led in fact they work so well they offer tax breaks for switchingWe have different expectations. I expect to be able to have six feet of penetration from the top to bottom of the plant. Hps has better penetration through the canopy to the bottoms for me. I can see if you want to train all the plants and make flat plants how youd like leds but i dont have the time for making my plants accept the light given. I like light that doesnt take no for an answer. Who knows if its more money to replace the bulbs or not. Even with "never having any money" a brand new hps bulbs intensity is amazing.
Out of curiosity does anyone know why stadiums arent using leds for light?? Well besides for the scoreboard?
Mine kicks the shit out of a 400w hpsedit your post enough times? Four? On one post? Ok, worried about something?
A lot of "400" watt leds dont do what a 400 watt hps does. Maybe yours does but if you bought a bunch of 400 watt leds they would all have different results wouldnt you? And why is penetration bullshit. Do you like having lime premature buds from no light? No light equals pale buds. Those are ugly and fluffy usually.
True shit.mo light mo problems
lol more ignorant bullshit.True shit.
If you are growing in a small tent or a closet and purely for fun and head smoke..than leds are great . They will potentially save you long term if your grow is long term. But if your a farmer you don't care how much power your using. As long as your getting the nugs to back it up. Leds are a joke, the only way I could make the switch is to drop 40k on fixtures. why would anyone do that ? hps is amazing . It has awesome results , anytime I break a ballast I walk into the hydrostore and walk out with a new one for free.. Bulbs I replace every 2 runs... I sell the old bulbs for 15 bucks a pop.. And I buy new ones for 29 bucks a pop.. My electricity costs are upwards of 30 percent higher let's say.. So 30 percent of my electricity would be about 7gs a year .. I would have to run those led fixtures for 6 years to make my money back.. At the same time I have to deal with shitty variables that I didn't have to deal with under hps . (Fixtures closer to canopy, more even canopy, issues if a bulb goes out, more lights under same size space, cannot aircool, stupid purple color) And on top of all of this.. The store I go to doesn't carry the product , so if I have an issue I have to make 70 phone calls and beg someone to warrantee my shit.
So what do we know... Unless you have a small grow and a big budget, or your smart enough and patient enough to make some ghetto ass diy setup .. Or your a rep for an led company spamming us. you would Have to be pretty stupid to think that led >hps
I don't think you got the part where I was talking about efficiency ? Who the fuck would spend 40gs on fixtures lol. to get your money back in 6 years from electricity? That's a joke. I guess if you run a business for fun than it's a good idea .lol more ignorant bullshit.
big commercial grows have to have UL approved lighting... Led has already surpassed. The excuse they're only good in a small grow is an oxymoron. If they're good they're good. You just add mode lights. My grow is a 12x10, 5x7 , 5x5 I dont use any hid. I have 5 foot tall plants with big ole colas and big poodle style buds and that very frosty and rock hard dense.
Are you able to pull 8-10 units out of your 12x10 using your led lamps?lol more ignorant bullshit.

Says who? Uncle Sam won't take any of my money I've tried . I've done my research and I would use the spydr grow max 1200. It is 3k retail.. Does a 4x4 area . I would need 16 of those that's 48k. I'm Assuming I could get it for about 35k plus tax . You know about these leds why are you throwing out such ignorant numbers lol2k sq ftif its for a commercial grow / business. 50% of the cost is tax deductible. 40k in lights would be 1500 square feet- 2000 square feet in coverage. Larger discount when you buy more.
depends on the strain. I run 18 different strains. If I ran only pre 98 abs locomotion quantum kush and Mt rainier I would. I also run cookies, 9lb hammer, fireballs , dark side , and a bunch of others. I harvest at different times. I pull 1- 1¼ per 4x5 so 6-7Are you able to pull 8-10 units out of your 12x10 using your led lamps?
