T.H. Seeds DarkStar - 6.0/440ppm (ppm dropped from 480ppm last night....took pH down to 5.6) - Appears to be showing some over-nitrification on the top fan leaves. Turning a dark green. I may have to tweek that 5-2-6 ratio with bloom food since its apparent my feed is too low already and adding more veg food would probably make the issue worse. What do you guys think? *crickets*

Man I can't believe how dark these roots are now compared to 2 weeks ago. Im concerned. The plant right next to it, Stinkbomb #1, still has white roots like that though. Hmmm?

What would cause roots to tan up in only 2 weeks?

Pulling a DB...Bought another 600w setup today.

I wanna start building an 8 site undercurrent. Which means I need to buy a 1/3HP chiller. That should handle 8 sites?

I'll be using 27 gal totes most likely the HDX ones from the depot. So i'll need something to cool off 150 gallons

Started 4 Grimace OG seeds today. Forgot about them in the bag and a couple had popped out leaves already...pale yellow light starved leaves.

Hope theyre not gonners. Weekend was non stop.

Blockbuster 6" came in. Ballast should be in around Tuesday. Next on the list is a 1/4HP chiller. $500 is fucking whack though.

Aside from having to buy a stupid sun system adapter to plug into my ballast i'm impressed. Has a nice gasket material around the lip. The glass has a hanger for easy cleaning and thumbscrews, unlike my xtrasun which has a phillips and some sliding hinge mechanism.

Fucker even has a level to make sure your light is even, which I did not even know. Definitely worth the $165, I may replace my xtrasun with one.

I got Stinkbomb #1 and #2 in flower and Darkstar. Ran some clones off of each. I hope both stinkbombs are females.

Stinkbomb #1 while at first it seemed like it liked 700ppm I think there was just way too little P and too much N in the nutrients. The ends of the fan leaves are clawing a little and the fan leaves are dark green, which I couldn't tell that much under blue light. Under incandescent you can definitely tell.

2-1-2 for me in veg. Going to buy dry nutes eventually once I figured out how to mix em.

I'll make a proper post tomorrow. Im beat.

Just finished out my Ionic. H16 base is so far off from what im reading cannabis likes I'm not sure why so many people love it. Unless they are using all the additives. I know theres a grower here who runs just the base and does well (well enough to be running 32kw)

I'm not sold. 5-2-6 for a base veg doesn't sound correct. Neither does 3-1-5 for Ionic.

Veg should always be equal parts maybe a dash high on nitrogen depending on strain.

DutchMaster runs 4-2-6 and I didnt like that much at all. My Sensi grow was pretty nice but I dont remember the ratio. Veg needs to be a balanced N-P-K. Running Dyna Grow atm with a little struggle. I think my TDS meter is shot

I'm sorry, but the idea that cannabis in either veg or bloom wants the main nutrients in equal proportions simply isn't borne out by the facts, including tissue sample analysis.

3-2-4 is a good all around ratio to shoot for. Veg DOES want more nitrate, in the form of calcium nitrate- because even though calcium isn't one of the NPK triad, plants need as much or more of it than any other nutrient.

Even in full bloom, cannabis (as well as most flowers) don't need as much P or K as the nutrient manufacturers say they do.

Much of the confusion arises from the fact that cannabis is generally a pretty flexible crop and puts up with a lot of bullshit. Ya want finicky? Grow African violets!

If i could find something with just P that 5-2-6 would work. But since the only source of P is MKP is that even possible?

I'm trying DG foliage pro this grow. I also got the bloom too. have you thought about trying different ratios of both to get what you are after? like 1mL FP and 4mL bloom, or 2/3, or 3/2 etc? I'm only 3 weeks from seed so I'm using just the FP at the moment.
