Better off using cfl's.........seriouslyWho are the LED spectrum 'gurus' on the site? Im purchasing a few (15) 225W LED's when ordering i was asked if i wanted to make them a specific spectrum. I know im doing a perpetual SOG so would love to get lights specifically for BLOOM budding but havent done enough research to comfortably choose a spectrum! Anyone willing to help? Would be much appreciated! Thanks. Pics are of the information from the supplier.

Some say Fuck efficiency! Lol.......but I find it a rather important part of indoor lightingHey PSUAGRO, would love for you to expand. ive heard the HPS vs LED argument but why CFL. havent seen any 3000w CFL grows before! please more info and direction would be appreciated!
I was using LED for less power usage and better grow room temps.
Thanks
HAHA thanks! last question ( NOT) are the Nova F24 LED's any better ive used them in the past with good result just curious if its still classified as a shitty light source or not!Some say Fuck efficiency! Lol.......but I find it a rather important part of indoor lighting
Using generic encapsulated leds like in your ufo pictured, could have efficiencies in the teens or worse, a couple of 26w cfls will beat it.
Choose you light source carefully......plenty of info in here
Good luck grower
Great to know. ive grown with 2x 1000w Nova's before it will exciting to see results with quality LED's! Im in the process of reading this entire post (started today) but throw me a bone!! if you were to light a 6'x4' Bloom room of LED what would it be?another one those "have to pay me to take it home" =nova

Thanks for the help JimmyIndica!
Generally, better spectrum takes a back seat while higher efficiency and umol/J dissipated are more important. Higher umol/J generally trumps any other aspect of a lamp, and a more efficient lamp for a given SPD will have higher umol/J.Thank you, Ill take your word for it but hope somewhere in these 311 pages i can get some knowledge to back it up Is it spectrum or quality or size of chip so curious what makes these superior. but since you have experience growing big bud with them ill definitely give them a try and get the knowledge as it comes. let you know how i get on. Do you have a grow journal currently?
vero29= a mix of 3k and 4k ran at 2.1Hiya folks
Right, i am seriously clueless about this DIY led business but im looking into it...just so you know Im planning an ultra micro scrog, in effect a PC box grow, with 4 cree units. Basically what kelvin lights should I be looking at? I read a pretty good article yesterday that said 3000k works great for flower and veg, is that correct?
