Potassium Silicate and Co2 Pads, enough for 90 degree temps?

I 2x4 Tent, running around 78-95 degrees Temps. I noticed my pistils turning brown fast, wondering if these temps are going to hurt the flower somehow.

because i'm running two lights, I had an extra so I figured I would use them both. I read somewhere the more light, the more heat the plants could tolerate. Also supplementing it every watering with Potassium Silicate. I was thinking of swapping the 1000 Watt out for a 600 Watt or put a 5000 btu portable a/c in. Here are some pics, Also kinda wondering the age.

Ok, slow down. Just give them water and keep feeding them whatever they have been eating. Changing their diet will stress them. You have WAY too much light for a 2x4 tent. You could easily get away with a 400 in there and have a decent harvest. It is too hot because you have too much/many lights. Yes, on one hand you can never give a plant too much light, but there is a saturation limit to how much can be cast. One of your lamps is enough for such a small space. Use the 600 (it runs much cooler) and just swap out your bulbs (if your ballast allows). If you have a 600 in a sealed hood, with proper intake and exhaust, you wont have any problems keeping it cool. Also, run your lights at night so they are not running during the warmest point of your day. Just doing that will lower your temps a ton.

A 1000w is good for a 4x4 area. Any thing smaller than that is just over kill. With temps that high co2 and silicate isn't going to be enough to counter the heat. You definitely just need to lower your heat, professor gave you some good tips.

I am in agreement with the professor. That is way too hot for the plants and can cause heat stress where the edge of the leaves will curl. Are you exhausting the air from the tent outside? Is the tent in an area where you can keep it cool by drawing in cool air? This way you don't have to use valuable inside tent space for an ac unit, but rather put it outside by one of the intake vents.

Ok,is there any benefit to keeping the lights and lowering temps with portable A/C or is the

Thanks Prof, My first grow, I ran my 1000 HPS in my Walk-in closet and only pulled about 150 Grams, just trying to avoid it. The closet was 5X4 Space. Thanks again for the tips

Exactly what I needed to know 707,, thank you. I was going to throw a portable a/c in their to cool the tent, I honestly just want maximum yield.

GenPasha, I have it in the garage, Fan is drawing heat from inside tent and pulling out. I run them at night,right now my temp is 80 on the nose. I heard that running an a/c outside your tent doesn't give an accurate temp inside because the thermometer is gauging the outside air vice the inside.

No prob. 2x4 is small and can get hot much easier than a large space. There is no benefit to keeping both lights and adding an ac. You are tripping over dollars to pick up nickels. A simple and proper intake and exhaust setup with a good inline fan (not one of those booster fans either) will do more for you than anything else.

hahhahaha Between 47 and 50, it's all good, I prefer the truth. I believe that though might be from me over-spraying the co2 pads, seemed to burn right through a couple of flowers. I believe.

It needs to be drawing fresh air from outside the garage. You need one intake for the light and one for the tent. Drawing fresh air into the tent will provide it with enough CO2 so that you will not need to supplement it.

It is hard to tell from the pics, but take a look around for anything that looks like a little web. White spots on leaves are never good.
