humidity problems

I have a problem I'm hoping someone can help me with. I have four 600watt cool tubes with an exhaust fan which pulls 770 cfm and we have a dehumidifier. I can't get the humidity below 74%.Am I pulling too much make-up air with the fan so the dehumidifier can't keep up? The dehumidifier worked well before we started flowering and using the exhaust fan.Would a 2nd dehumidifier work? I have to come up with something quick as they have started flowering. Thanks for any input.

Your exhaust fan pulls out, and so outside air (I'm assuming it's humid where you live in Maine) is pulled in to replace it.

Your dehuey can't keep up with the air exchange, hence your problem.

As a first suggestion, since your fixtures are already cool tubes, pull (don't push) air from outside your growroom through the lights and then back out. This will reduce your heat load.

However, if you're using outside air to cool your op and your dehuey can't keep up, you may need to get an AC unit and seal your space.

About 5x20 room size, only water half gallon each[24] every three days or so.Not sure what size dehumidifier is , just a basement size.

Make sure the dehumidifier is at the opposite end of the exhaust, so that it is pulled through the room.I have the same setup 6 x 600w in the basement of a 100+ yr old house and i keep the humidity in check45-50%...

Also it remains a fairly constant 70-74 degrees in there.
In the basement or garden?
Sounds like your pulling air too fast through your room. You dehumidifier doesn't hve time to pull moisture out of the air. Slow your exhaust fan down enough to keep temps good, but not pull so much air and see if that helps.

Garden,so maybe I'll move dehumidifier further away from exhaust intake and get a smaller fan. The one I have isn't variable speed. Thanks guys for all the help.

What do u mean it isn't variable speed? Can Max Fan? That's the only one I know of that doesn't work with a FSC.

Humidity problems are my number 1 issue. I have tried all kinds of shit to lower the humidity and once summer rolls around I just cannot stop it. I have thrown away so many top colas because of budrot it is ridiculous.

I just tossed the main cola of Malawi Gold 3 days ago due to bud rot and my humidity didnt get any higher than 60.

Some people love big, fat buds. I HATE them.
