Salmon biting yet ?
Getting close, any week now.....
"The salmon bite has been picking up outside the Golden Gate this past week. It's not wide open but we saw some fish per rod scores of some quality fish on Friday 5-29. Jared Davis was at the helm of the Salty Lady and reported 14 salmon for 13 anglers with fish to 20 pounds. Sean Baker from Santa Rosa took the jack pot. They were trolling close to home off Muir beach and Jared said the bait is stacked up thick over a wide area. There were just a few party boats out but most saw scores north of a fish per rod. The Salty Lady has lots of space open for salmon trips. Out of Emeryville they have both salmon trips, rockfish and live bait rockfish/ lings/ bay buts and bass trips available daily. The weather was calm today and looks good into the weekend."

Thank you sir. Good time to go up there right now. The tuna off shore down here are just starting to build with a few fish caught over 100 #s but water temp is still a few degrees off but larges schools of fish are here. The Mexicans started their passport BS again within 12 miles of the coast so not much yellowtail fishing right now. The kid and I hop on a 2.5 day trip in July.

if you want to bring your own rod, they run 25lb test on the boat rods. If you stick with 25 you won't get tangled as much trolling....

it's a different type trolling than you are used to TWS.....slow trolling with everyones line in the water at once...

week days are less crowded & better fishing...however we will go when you can get here.
Weekends make it easier on me but I can swing it when ever. I could drive up Thursday morning and we could fish Friday. I would probably go for two days when I come up.
