If something is evolutionary wouldn't it be some kind of natural selection process? Racism seems like a willful thing, driven by human thought and natural selection seems like a response to environmental factors etc.

Actually I was responding to what I thought was a cute humor by you. I have no clue or useful opinion as to why some people are gay and others are not.

Back about 15 years or so, some researchers thought they were on the trail of what was dubbed the "gay" gene. I don't recall all the details, but it seems they hit a dead end. If I recall correctly, what was interesting back then, was that both gay and straight people making arguments for and against the research. I guess some wanted genetic confirmation at the same time there were fears of futuristic "test tube" deselection.
