it's called capitalism

go over to the earth website and warn them how much the man is ripping you off

and you can blog about how to make your own lights, and your own food, and your own clothes and even your own truck
lol....

or you/they could just make a good product

bad leds for big prices...has been nothing but a racket.

like any other bad scam that door is closing fast...

You start a thread asking which is the best light then bash anyone that doesn't agree with your opinion when you gave the option of Other in your poll.
You bought a Kind light and posted a video produced by Kind,do you have any real LED knowledge or experience about LEDs that Kind has not furnished for you?
I don't remember reading that anyone said your light won't grow good weed, there are just better options but you don't want to hear it.

Computers started out as little more than circuit boards and shitty cases that people thought were fucked....that seems to have come along ok over the last couple of decades....very similar in regards or are you too dense for a history lesson? :leaf:

ok, you seem knowledgable. Other than the $439 price tag, what is wrong with my CLW 220 to cover 2x2?

For the money with it's quality parts and full disclosure of what those parts are, this is the best value for quality and a proven performer if your located where they ship to.
There are others but for the money this would be my first choice for what's on the market right now but I think better options will be available soon or DIY.

lets take a look at the options. in real time...I don't save this shit or commit it to memory..

$440 for a clw 220 to cover a 2x2

whats the actual power draw to start..

apparently 165w. $2.60 a watt

most efficient commercial light out...

optic and heaven bright....lets look at prices

heaven bright model v6 $500 186w $2.68 a watt

heaven bright by a mile. good parts, time put into the design, user upgradeable, all around nice guy from what i can tell

Not even going to check optic but it is a option

once ggs site is up it will probably be the nicest one out.

unbiased and only based on contribution to the led community and product worth

I was asking about panel LEDs from reputable companies, not some DIY COB, seems like a completely different subject. I want a light I can actually buy. When I said other I meant other companies...not should I build it myself....

Fact remains and i personally belive there are lots of LED grow lights that can grow decent yields and overall healthy plants and just because some growers choose to COB its not end all be all and really who gives a shit about effciency when the real game here is yield , quality
People blow shit out there ass sometimes i mean for instance Mars2 1600 there actually pretty affordable @ 600 bucks a piece by the way that is true
110V/780W, 240V/736W what is it going to cost to make cob unit 780 watts ??? and i am also curious what Green genes 300 watt i think he has COB unit coming out ??? is that true 300 watts for what 750 buck or more 900 ??? what will that cover for area 5 x 5 4 x 4 3 x 3 ??? just saying other LEDS do pretty dam good and for the LED people on here cutting down other LED's just because you went cob does not mean its better
I am sorry but i would place bets 2 mars 1600 LED will destroy two
300 watt Cob units and lets not forget buying 2 Mars with 15 - 20 percent off @ will come to 1100 bucks with warranty your DIY is not
what will 2 cob 300 units cost ??? if we look at i guess average built cost from all you pros on here 800 a piece ??? shit probably more
Bunch of hypocrites really lots of good LED units out there just got to weed out all the BS and marketing shit

I currently own and use 3 LED lights from 2 different company's . The first 2 were Blackstar UFO's 135 watt they were cheap but being new to indoor growing and not wanting to use HID I chose to go the LED route as cheaply as possible. After using them for about a year and liking what I saw I purchased a CLW solarflare 220.The difference was quite obvious between the lights but they did what I needed them to do and was pleased with the final results. I have 2 friends that only use HID we do comparisons on our product constantly and they all do the same thing they fuck us up so we don't complain........but we're old farts and set in our ways . I will say one thing about my situation. I wished I had spent all the money I've spent on 3 lights on just 1 but that's just me. Which brings me to my last statement to each his own.

You are equally as shitty at math...

Just so you won't open your typing hand pie hole again.......
8oow's from 2 1600's @ 25% = 200 Par Watts and $1k+ ?
300w DIY @ 50% Efficient = 150 Par Watts and $600?

Puh-lease

PUt another way...Two of the 3oo W lights probably have nearly 50% more output than 2 of the Mars 1600's....thats how you get scary fucked out of money....
