Help with making super soil with pro mix any one

so is the green fungus or mold good or bad for my supersoil and if its bad what should i do

Either way its no worries.

Does the soil feel heavy? If so its probably too wet and the green is anaerobic stuff happening. That's not good but not deal-breaking. Unless its repulsive, just open up the bag, stir it (mix the green right into it) and leave it open- assuming you've got a good base soil then the good aerobic processes will take over soon. Once the top starts to dry out feel free to close it down a bit, but you do need air exchange if you have active, healthy soil.

I also think that if sub actually told you to do what you said in the PM, then you should NOT listen to him further.
If you do your research you'll find that sub isn't even in the top 10% when it comes down to organic botany. There are probabaly 20 growers I can think of, off the top of my head that know WAY more...
Layered soil?
Slaughterhouse products?
D-lime?
Epsom salts?
Bat guanos?

You want a better soil? This works well for what appear to be all who review it online. Add it to promix and worm castings as it says on the site. Lots of other great info for organic growers there too.

I'm just starting my first run with it and am happy so far.

There other recipe I have on a site I sheared earlair and the soil u just sent me was one of them I'll try it this year and once my tent is all up ready I'll post pictures it's sad that this site been up and running now for years and we still can't post videos it's sad

It's hot at the start and falls on it's face at the beginning of flowering.

That's why when in flowering stage feed it teas your gonna have left over guano and stuff after your done making your soil it's

or you could make a better soil mix that you don't need to add anything at all.
But you can grow herb pretty easily using about ten thousand different methods.
No right and wrong way, just preferred methods.

I can't get roots organic but I can use pro mix for this super soil mix recipe

Subcool’s Super Soil Recipe Improved, Small Batch :

• 1 ten gallon bag of high quality Organic Potting Soil Such as “Roots Organic Soil”
• 3 to 6 pounds of Organic Earthworm Castings (1 lb. of casting = about 1 gal.)
• 10 ounces of Blood Meal ( 10 oz. of blood meal = about 1 & 1/2 cups)
• 10 ounces of Bloom Bat Guano ( 10 oz. of guano = about 1 cup)
• 10 ounces Fish Bone Meal ( 10 oz. of bone meal = about 1 cup)
• 6 ounces Rock Phosphate
• 1&1/2 tablespoons Epsom Salt (magnesium sulfate)
• 2 tablespoons or 1 oz. (liquid measure)of Dolomite Lime
• 1 tablespoons or 1/2 oz. (liquid measure) of Azomite (trace elements)
• 1 teaspoon of powdered Humic Acid

I still use it though, I use it as the base for my new mix. 1/2 used super soil, 1/4 Pro-mix HP, 1/4 Happy Frog soil conditioner add aeration to taste then the amendments. No bone meals, blood meals or dolomite lime either. Pretty sure the meals caused tip burn in the beginning and early fade in flower.

it's possible, blood meal is some potent stuff, and sorta hard to control the release of it, never used bone meal, at least bovine, I LOVE fish bone meal, both in it's natural form or boxed.
I live on the coast so I've gotten my share of fish carcasses from the wharf.
Stinky sure, but throw those in your compost pile for a couple months and they melt nicely.
Course between that and the composting bull-kelp and the pile can be a lil funky smellin at first..

Ya.. I was thinking the Blood meal was the culprit! I wish I had some better options for the compost bins. I toss the yard waste in two of them along with kitchen stuff. Still makes some nice dark soil for next year! The third gets the leaves from the trees at the end of the season. Mmmmm.... Leaf mold!!!!

Use Espoma lineup of Bio Tone, Tomato Tone, along with a Kelp meal, some Lime, also add Jamaican guano, rock phosphate and Azomite. Mix this and your ProMix Hp/Bx in 32 gallon trash can, or break it down into a size you can mange and let this mix cook for a month to 6 weeks. I have seen people use 20 gallon Rubbermaid containers with heat mats indoors to help along the process. The ingredients mentioned can be bought from Amazon or Ebay, or sourced locally for the most part, but I know all can be bought from the two mentioned retailers. Also I know this is not a traditional super soil recipe but this has worked amazingly and you can Google a similar recipe for validity. As for the amounts of each ingredient needed I just follow the directions off the label, almost all will have a option for making a soil stew. But again there are recipes using these ingredients out there with more specific measurements. Have fun and good luck.

I know its an old thread..What pH do you water in with or for teas using a promix based living soil? This is my only question! Im moving from synthetic, repurposing by washing promix and my living soil is cooking for 6 weeks now. Will be using soon. I know living soil is usually 6.5-7.5 and my bf leans 6.8 to 7.0... Promix is 5.8 to 6.3 normally so im thinking around 6.4 to 6.8 until i figure it out.. ?I cant find this answer anywhere! Ty

Honest when I give the lady’s teas I don’t ph at all don’t need too if you do your tea recipe right

but when I feed the girls a lil food half strength I give ph at 6.3 to 6.5

people say when comes to organics u shouldn’t or don’t need to ph yes u do and u should always do cause organic bottled nutes will bring your water to a 4.5 to 5.0 and that’s way to low

but for teas I go str8 with no problems hope this helps u
