Is it Photoshop? I didn't think Ron Paul was like that, all the talk of freedom and shit.
"Advocates of capitalism are very apt to appeal to the sacred principles of liberty, which are embodied in one maxim: The fortunate must not be restrained in the exercise of tyranny over the unfortunate." -Bertrand Russell

Ron Paul opposed the civil rights act.

fuck you, dumb sock puppet.
Intelligent
they didn't want the government to have so much control?

they were for states rights?

LAUGH OUT LOUD.

are you talking about the same group of southern states that lobbied for and got the fugitive slave act, aka the biggest federal power grab in history to that point?

the south was all about government control and ignoring states rights entirely when it came to getting their runaway slaves back. so excuse me while i laugh my fucking ass off when you claim the south was for states rights, as they trampled all over the will of the free north and cried for government control over them.

i won't even get into your mention of 'social inequalities' in the slaveholding south for fuck sake. that would give me a fucking aneurysm.

the confederacy was about one thing: slavery. hence why every single state that seceded mentioned it as the very first reason for seceding.
I am not going to get dragged into a stupid argument over slavery with some clown shoe who's just loooking for an argument, for fucks sake. Yeah, we all got it. Slavery was 1 reason they seceded.... Moving on then... Let it go dude, let it go.

How? By pointing out the fact that the confederate flag isn't all about slavery. But then that doesn't fit into yours or the other morons argument. Because for some reason you guys want to argue about slavery?
Lol

You really seem to want to argue about the connection between the confederate flag and slavery and to call anyone who disagrees with you 'morons'.

The thread has a theme, and nobody begged for you to post your misguided opinion in it. Just as an FYI, you don't even know my opinion regarding the flag. The war was definitely about slavery, but flags mean nothing to me.

yessir. i just question the use of buckybrah's term "only" in his bingocard-esque nerve struck reaction to your statement. though the term "only" may apply to some self righteous serial ideologue's narrative, it really doesnt seem to apply in the context of reality. but im open to buckybrah's relevance on the matter if he has anything tangible to share.

but you know how "those guys" are when it comes to narratives vs. reality.

thanks for the LOLemic though guys. :joint::bigjoint:

is this one as authentic as the "rawn pawl" one?:mrgreen:

So you admit that you're "not a fluent historian" regarding the issue but vehemently disagree with the notion that the war was fought solely over slavery. By all means, please elucidate any other causes of the civil war and see how they stand up to examination. That is, unless you're just a self righteous ideologue attempting to foster polemic exchange.

"solely"?

"only"?

or "very first"?

this polemic stuff is confusing me. seems one doesnt fit the definition of the others in context though.

i already asked buckybrah to elaborate if he has something tangible to support his SUPPORT of ONLY equating VERY FIRST. LOL. you see, VERY FIRST itself implies other following issues. which is confusing when you would use it to counter the notion that of NOT THE ONLY.

you enlightened ones should be doing the schooling. instead of focusing on random internet users and personality googles.

your focus is self evident. again. my interest at this point, is the LOLemic. again. until the point where something tangible and relevant is shared that is worth pondering. i wont hold my breath. partly due to iLOLification.

call anyone who disagrees with you 'morons'.
iLOL@the irony.

The OP specifically asked for opinions lol. You really that dense? You are a sad individual. Have nothing better to do than try to troll forums. I feel for you... no i don't. fobesterdam has you and unclechucks numbers. Neither of you have anything intelligent to say. But that sure doesn't keep you from posting stupid pics and quotes doing anything you can to sound relevant. Nobody cares about your lame attempts at humor.
